"Death is Coming" series review

"Death is Coming" is really my favorite series of horror movies. The male and female protagonists in it are very good-looking, and I think the screenwriter's brain hole is really big. There is no ghost element, and it was created by the god of death alone. A series of chain reactions lead to different ways of death for each person, which is very consistent with the state of human accidental death.

The ability set by the male protagonist is also very scientific. Although he can see the future and try to change and fight against the god of death, he is powerless. It also reflects how fragile and small human life is, and everything is under the control of the god of death.

There are many details and foreshadowings in the movie, because every factor will affect the life and death of this person, so I watched it many times, because really watching this movie once is not enough to understand the good intentions of the screenwriter and director of prop design. .

The reason why this movie makes people feel terrifying is because many inconspicuous coincidences in life are the initiators of a series of events, and I feel that it is too normal to happen in life. Riding a roller coaster, riding a car, and watching a game are all experiences in our daily life. I once watched this series of movies and was too scared to take a plane or ride a roller coaster... If something too life-like is shown in a movie, it will make people feel It's very real, creating that kind of terrifying fear. This kind of fear belongs to the more terrifying the more you think about it, compared to the short-term visual horror caused by the ghost factor.

On the other hand, the combination of special effects and sound of the movie is also very reasonable, which makes the whole movie interesting, and the plot is also very compact. Every time the hero or heroine foresees everything, and then accidents happen one by one in sequence. , are games carefully arranged by the god of death. It is not difficult for the audience to recall what happened in the movie when they participate in some similar life scenes, and the sense of fear will arise again spontaneously. This is also the most quintessential part of the entire movie.

The only fly in the ointment is that many death designs are unscientific and do not take into account the human skeleton structure (for example, the sixth part was smashed by a Buddha statue, which violated the hardness of the skull), and the unscientific nature of life scenes (also the sixth part, eye I had a laser surgery, and it was smashed when I pushed it to the glass wall in a hurry. It is reasonable to say that the quality of the pure glass wall at high altitude will not be so inferior...) The overall creativity is good, but it is related to practical factors and scientificity, and some places seem to be too false.

Final Destination quotes

  • Carter: Well, we made it.

Clear Rivers: Paris, I can't believe it.

Alex Browning: I just can't believe we got on a plane again, you know what I'm saying?

  • [With cups of coffee, Alex and Clear sit down at a Espresso shop corner table]

Alex Browning: The mortician said that Death has a design. Okay. I'm talking about omens. How do we know that just by sitting here - by, by sipping this coffee, or breathing the air, or even crossing the intersection - that we haven't even started in motion the events that will some day lead to our death: forty years from now, ten years from now, tomorrow. We don't. Unless we open ourselves up...

Alex Browning: [as clear glances nervously at the intersection, Alex draws from his pocket the tiny slice of paper that reads "Tod" and slides it across the table to her]

Alex Browning: ...to the signs that It's willing to show us?

Clear Rivers: I don't understand. Did you see Tod die? Did it happen again, like on the plane?

Alex Browning: [shaking his head] No. No, it didn't, but, I mean, it might as well have. This is a message from something, Clear, or someone - hinting at a design.

Clear Rivers: Total bullshit. I mean, you can find death omens anywhere you want to.

[Alex glances at the window of the Espresso shop and sees the ghostly reflection of a bus passing by. As she continues to talk, ominous music rises and Alex glances worriedly around the streets]

Clear Rivers: Coffee. Starts with a C and ends with an E. So does the word "choke." So, what, we're going to choke to death? I wanna hear you.

[Alex glances anxiously over his shoulder again]

Clear Rivers: We'll go nuts if you start with this shit.

Alex Browning: The mortician said that Death has a design. Right? Now, what if you, me, Tod, Carter, Terry, Billy, Mrs. Lewton messed up that design. For whatever reason, I, I saw Death's plan. We cheated him. But what if it was our time? What if we were not meant to get off that plane? What if it still is our time? If it is, then it's not finished, and we will die - now, not later - unless, unless we find the patterns and cheat It again.

[Behind Alex's back, Carter drives his car up to the intersection and waits for the light. Terry is sitting next to him. Carter glances over to see Alex and Clear, and he scowls. Terry smiles at Carter, then sees them too, and her smile fades, as though fearful of a confrontation]

Clear Rivers: After hearing you, I, I do believe...

    [Alex smiles]

Clear Rivers: ...that Tod killed himself.

    [Alex's face turns serious]
