Don't just call someone a psychologist

I haven't seen the Korean version, so I don't know if that one is more reasonable in this regard, but as far as The Uninvited is concerned, the psychologist in it should be fired 100 times.

At first glance, what the bearded psychiatrist did was fabricated for the sake of the plot, and it did not conform to any rules of normal behavior in reality. First of all, from the detailed discussion of her dreams between him and ANNA, we can see that he is the PSYCHOANALYST of FREUD, or else PSYCHODYNAMIST. After all, any other doctrine will not treat "dreams" or, more strictly speaking, "subconsciousness" as useful for healing. But it is impossible for a qualified psychoanalyst to release the patient without finding out the deep meaning of the dream, let alone the patient has a tendency to self-harm. The doctor would not say such suggestive words, "Finish what you started." When the patient's parents suggested that her behavior was different, she would not be taken to the hospital again, or even met and talked again.

In addition, the age of ANNA in the play should be high school students, at least 16 years old. In the United States, people over 16 and under 18 commit homicide, and it is such a case with conclusive evidence, which can be sentenced as an adult. But because of her psychological problems, no matter how old she is, she will be sent to the Mental Hospital for the Criminally Insane (a hospital for high-risk mental patients) or the high security wing of a general mental hospital. It is impossible to leave the door open. The patient walked around. But even if she is mentally abnormal, if the patient still knows that the murder was wrong, then she should be sentenced. Finally, long-term patients in the hospital, MILDRED KEMP in the movie, and short-term patients cannot live together.

Overall, in terms of psychology, the movie is really a mess.
