The main tone of the whole film is dull and slow.
The ending is the highlight. Kemper and Holden understand each other reasonably well in terms of the plot that lays the groundwork for the entire series. There is a fine line between justice and evil, which is what the screenwriter wants to say. Unexpectedly, Holden just said: "The only mistake I made was ever doubting myself." And then collapsed quickly after Kemper hugged. It can only be understood that the subtle friendship between Holden and Kemper is beyond Holden's original imagination, it is mutual understanding After being overly excited, I still dare not face this friendship. I personally think that, with Holden's character, I prefer the latter.
Three typical criminal images portrayed in the series:
1. Kemper, who lacked love since childhood, was abused by his mother, and his mind was distorted. However, clear thinking, agile, organized and logical, should be better than Holden in terms of ability. Holden was attracted by Kemper's words and deeds, but Holden himself did not clearly realize that Kemper repeatedly tried to confirm that throughout the process, although Holden was the interviewer on the surface, Kemper actually dominated the friendship between the two. "Kemper is alone" is the reason for all his crimes.
2. Brudos, who likes women's clothing, has a hobby for high-heeled shoes because of his mother and teacher's two completely different attitudes when he was a child. Subsequent murders are also related to hobbies. It seems that Brudos is more cunning than Kemper, and he is a very witty sophistry with his comprehensive and frank lies and deceit. Unfortunately, although Brudos realizes that he is "alone", he still fantasizes that he is witty and successful, refuses to admit and face his spiritual problems, and ultimately cannot be redeemed.
3. Speck, madman, murder with passion, illogical, not much to say.
4.Holden, the protagonist. In the first half of the episode, Holden was relatively happy, but in the second half of the episode, Holden and Kemper were too similar. The difference was that Kemper was treated coldly and not understood when he was a child. Holden is pursuing what he wants to do and cannot be understood. "Solitude and the search for understanding," and the ending, "True Mutual Understanding."
But "The only mistake I made was ever doubting myself." It's not something both can say, Holden can, Kemper can't. resignedly.
Other parts or details, such as the dark shooting environment of the whole play, cruel pictures or erotic edge balls, have watched too many such plots, and they can't trigger too many viewing feelings.
I hope the world will be more patient and understanding towards children, so that there will be one less Brudos and one less sin in the world. One more Kemper under normal growth, and one more Holden.
