How is the devil hunter swallowed by the demon? - What does a kitten's food box mean?

Originally, I was very identified and heartbroken with the protagonist. I felt that he did so much and did the right thing, but the people around him betrayed him one after another: girlfriend, partner...

Later, I understood a little. The reason why he betrayed his relatives was because his inner demons were out of control, his arrogance and his hallucinations.

Through his relationship with kemp, he developed a series of routines, so he was able to break other criminals and crimes. This gave him the illusion that he was powerful, that he had some kind of mastery, technique and ability to induce others, and he also started to get cocky.

But in the end, the scene where Kemp commits suicide and sees him in the ward dispels this illusion. In fact, this relationship, this kind of thing is not only his, but also what Kemp chose to give him. The relationship is the choice of both parties. Kemp's scene was because he felt betrayal, and it was seen that he was using him for his own utilitarian purpose, instead of really feeling Kemp's feeling, they were not real friends. So kemp even wanted to kill him to maintain the illusion that they were friends.

The heroine feeding the cat is also the echo of this scene. She thought that by providing food, she would be tempted and control the cat. And the last time, the cat didn't come, the cat poop was covered with ants, and she told everything, mastering the cat was just her wishful illusion.

In this scene, the cat is the kemp that eventually gets out of control.

Some originals are more hypocritical. For example, the "eight promiscuous children" incident was actually written into the memoirs in a dignified manner. In reality, no one was bothered by Douglas's actions. In the eyes of the original protagonist, criminals are like boxes, but the adaptation of the TV series questions this confidence everywhere. After all, how much do we really know about the mind? What's interesting is that after watching the TV series and looking back at the original work, I have doubts: Is the protagonist really right?

I really liked the first four episodes. Episodes 5 and 6 revolve around too many unnecessary cases in one case. I feel like I'm watching a CBS crime drama. The last episode is not bad. Bottom Line: Engaging enough to watch in one go.
