One of the most real and best war movies, I saw tears in the end. I rarely watch German movies, but this one is so good. There is no sensationalism or beautification, just like a documentary, it quietly shows the harsh environment in the submarine, the thrilling combat, the cruelty of war, and of course the precision and advanced manufacturing in Germany. What touched me the most was the last paragraph. The officers and soldiers who finally returned to Hong Kong despite all the hardships, they did not die in the sea, but were killed by the bomber. It was really sad to see the young man who had privately ordered his life to die in Huangquan. They became tools in the hands of those who started the war, and no matter how smart and decisive the captain was, they still ran out of luck. They cannot escape the guilt, and pay the debt with blood! But those who wage war and push them into the abyss are even more sinful! Nearly 75% of the German submarine force in World War II lost their lives, and the losses they caused to the Allies were also extremely heavy. Countless families were broken and suffering.
Damn war! In addition to tears and pain, what else can you bring to the world!
May there be everlasting peace!
