The novel shows the hesitation experienced by most geniuses through the growth process of Grenouille, that is, doubts about their own identity, denial, and the process of second conversion. This part was also shown in the film but failed to become the main theme, all because the part that flashed back in Grenouille's mind at the end of the film appeared an intimate scene with Huang Meinu.
So this became a story of a person who didn't know love looking for love, so at the end of the story, a small book realized the true meaning, Huayi appeared, died calmly, and moved France.
So the whole movie wasted a good-paced narration, beautiful screen arrangement, magnificent soundtrack and the acting skills of the actors (AR is still a drama queen), which once again emphasized the need for us to grasp the point.
Or maybe it's still about love, and the loneliness of geniuses. Geniuses are ignorant of world affairs, unwilling to flatter, and will not please, so that when love comes, they find themselves at a loss in this field. Geniuses need unconditional love, but they are keenly aware that it is their aura of genius that everyone loves, and it is only because of the benefits of this aura that they enjoy it. People cannot give unconditional love to geniuses as an equal, because geniuses cannot love others and their thoughts unconditionally as an equal.
That's why Evgeny Kissin complains and fails to understand why those who claim to love him cannot identify with his Zionist ideas and stand against his "enemies" - Palestine and Iran.
So after Grenouille understood this, he made himself the object of other people's desire in the simplest and crudest way.
