Procrastination to my level, I am afraid it is not easy to cure.
This book was given to me by Yu Yong when I was in my junior year, and I flipped through it. After a few years, I found this movie, but I didn't read it.
The film tells the story of a man with a gift for smell. From his birth, to the discovery of his talent, to the fact that he had to kill several girls in order to create the best perfume in the world.
Although he was born in Yusi, which is a stench place that covers his nose when he thinks of it, his sense of smell is unusual, and he can clearly distinguish the smells of all things in nature, even if they are far apart.
By puberty, he discovered that the most fragrant thing in the world is actually a woman's body fragrance. And because of this, he accidentally killed a woman.
Later, he recommended himself to be the hero behind the scenes in a former perfumer's shop, and he had the opportunity to create the scent of his dreams.
However, unfortunately, it is the youthful body fragrance on the girl who can extract the best fragrance from all things in this world, maybe some hormones and some shyness or something. The sense of smell is the most difficult to describe and explain. I am afraid that only this man can understand it. The mystery of it.
I'm dizzy here. Does the author mean that all good things have to come at the cost of human life?
Right and wrong.
The right place is that the world wonders such as the Great Wall Terracotta Warriors and Horses Pyramids are all buildings where hundreds of thousands of people exchange their lives for their lives. No craftsman pours his own life into the work. Descendants climbed the Great Wall to take pictures to commemorate the visit, and they did not feel that it was unusual.
What's wrong is that the beauty of these lives has come to an abrupt end as a sacrifice for the will of others. This seems unethical.
One girl after another died, until finally the matter was revealed, and the man was reviled by thousands of people and will be brought to justice.
The final climax came from before the execution, when the perfume that men made with the lives of women was spilled. In an instant, people were intoxicated with the beauty that was not there in this world, forgetting everything, showing joy on their faces, and undressing with the opposite sex. Untie and have sex. It wasn't until he woke up the next day that he was so frightened that he dressed and left.
This scene reminds me of the Dionysian culture in Greek mythology, which advocates extreme romance and carnival, and advocates that people are born to be happy.
Opposite of the so-called Sun-god culture.
The Sun God is the order and restraint on which the world depends on the stable development. It is the law, the civilization, and the morality.
The history of human society seems to have always been subject to these two basic impulses:
One is the expression of the individual’s inner emotions, which is what Nietzsche called the “Dionysian spirit”; the other is the pursuit of the transcendence of the world marked by external rationality, which is what Nietzsche called the “Helios spirit”.
These two impulses represent two basic philosophical views of life: to go to the world, so pursue success; to go to the heart, so expect to surpass.
Everyone is a chaotic body of reason and madness.
The Apollinian culture, based on profit, eventually gave rise to conspirators and entrepreneurs who were responsible for the production of goods, laws, and state machinery.
Dionysian culture was human-centred, and culminated in the artists and philosophers responsible for producing a world of freedom, art, and beauty.
In the West, Nietzsche was an advocate of Dionysian culture.
In China, it was Zhuang Zhou, the Seven Sages of Bamboo Forest, and Li Bai.
Zhuangzi's "Xiaoyaoyou", the name is full of Dionysian style, would rather be a free tortoise shaking its head and tail in the mud pond, rather than being a bounded horse striding forward. Pursuing absolute freedom, forgetting life and death and honor and disgrace, is the essence of the Chinese Dionysian spirit. The romantic character and handed down works of the Seven Sages of Bamboo Forest, I am afraid that such soil will never be found again.
After the Tang Dynasty, China was more dominated by improved Buddhism and Confucianism, and everything was based on the word stability. Looking at the history that followed, it was sometimes invaded by aliens who believed in the god of wine, and the dynasty changed.
Therefore, throughout history, the probability of the emergence of Dionysian representatives in the land of China is much lower than that of the world.
Looking at our current education, it is basically the Sun God who is absolutely dominant. Emphasis on consistency and obedience, weakening individual vitality and independence.
Perhaps this just answered the difficult question Qian Xuesen asked Premier Wen back then: Why has there not been a world-class master in modern China?
However, Germany, a magical country, has continuously exported world-class masters of philosophy and art.
Schopenhauer explained the tragedy of life very fully, and Nietzsche's Dionysian spirit completely overturned this hopeless fatalism.
This is a solid worldview foundation. The spirit of Dionysus is absolute vitality, a confrontation between people who have returned to their original state and a complete tragedy. This should even be the first principle of the outlook on life.
However, all affirmation of life comes from love. Absolute love for self, for the world and for others, is the only vessel to connect and enrich the Dionysian spirit.
In love, we seek the strength and hope of all things, and we feel, experience, and create the future in loving and being loved. Other than that, everything is aimlessly barren.
"If life is the source of joy, then love is the source of the joy of life, turning pain into joy and defect into virtue. The lover of life is grateful for life, affirming its wholeness, with its sufferings And tragedy... Here, we begin to come into contact with the essence of Nietzsche's Dionysian spirit." Zhou Guoping, Nietzsche - At the Turning Point of the Century
Some people's Dionysus is completely dead.
Some people's Bacchus are sealed, and once they wake up, they will fight against the sun gods.
Some people are insane in the battle between the sun god and the wine god.
The above are the thoughts and arrangements that I started from the movie.
Interested students can read Mr. Nietzsche's "The Birth of Tragedy" and continue the discussion together.
Thank you Nietzsche, thank you Zhou Guoping.
