Sleepless nights, True Love!

Although I have watched it many times, I still can't give this movie a five-star rating.

Andersen's fairy tales are very different from Grimm's fairy tales; Grimm's fairy tales have mostly happy endings, while Andersen's fairy tales have mixed endings. This film is precisely adapted from "The Daughter of the Sea" in which the mermaid turns into foam.

In the whole story of The Little Mermaid, the prince is always hesitant, but the little mermaid has been unilaterally paying and working hard for Kiss of True Love, exchanging his voice with the witch, and finally losing himself. This kind of love is not true love, it is not worth it, it is better to give up early, or not. On the contrary, I appreciate Giselle in Enchanted Pocahontas. She insisted on herself and finally found True Love and got the kiss of true love.

The same is true in reality. A girl can only meet true love if she has an independent mind, loves herself, and loves life!

  • Ariel: [singing] What would I give if I could live out of the water. What would I pay to spend a day warm on the sand. Bet'cha on land they understand that they don't reprimand their daughters. Bright young woman, sick of swimmin', ready to stand! And ready to know what the people know, ask 'em my questions and get some answers! What's a fire and why does it... what's the word? Burn! When's it my turn? Wouldn't I love, love to explore that shore up above? Out of the sea, wish I could be part of that world!
