Said that there were three princes in Ceylon. Because serendip or serendib is the old name of Ceylon, the word-serendipity-"the ability to accidentally discover rare things" was invented.
I was interested in what happened to the three princes of Ceylon, so I searched the Internet, but unfortunately I found not much information, but found that there is another movie of the same name-is this also a kind of serendipity? :)
Kate Beckinsale always reminds me of Huang Rong, and John Cusack reminds me of characters in BBC TV series.
This story corresponds to the Chinese name, "Fate is destined to be destined", which is easy to understand. But I don't understand after changing serendipity. Does the film call us to "accidentally discover" even though we have boyfriends and girlfriends?
Then I searched for the synopsis of the three princes, and found out where they actually read it when they were young: The
three princes met a man looking for a lost camel during their journey. The man asked the prince if he had seen it. The prince replied that he had never seen it. But the prince asked again, is the camel blind with one eye, a little lame on its hind legs, with butter on the left, honey on the right, and a pregnant woman sitting on its back? The person who lost the camel was shocked that the prince was right, so he suspected that it was the prince who stole the camel, so he sued the prince to the government. When he arrived at the government, the prince told the officials how he learned about the details of the camel. For example, because he saw that the grass on the livestock road was eaten on only one side, it can be speculated that the camel was blind in one eye; there was a dragging in the hoof prints. So it is speculated that the camel has a lame foot...wait.
It suddenly dawned on me, doesn't this mean that a person observes carefully in life? "The ability to accidentally discover rare things"... Is this "pure accident"? Not pure. It is purely accidental, people call it fate, but it is not in the story of Prince Ceylon.
This is not an accident, just careful. It's just that he has a pair of eyes that like to observe and are good at discovering.
There are also problems with the Chinese interpretation of the word serendipity. Since it was an "accidental discovery"-completely "ran into"-it is not a "talent" but only luck.
What can we do to have the luck of Prince Serendip? Well, then you must have serendipity. What is serendipity? Well, it is a pair of eyes that are good at observing and discovering. Just like the heroes and heroines in the film, if you only give them luck and tell them to close their eyes and find the hearts, I am afraid that they are "unknown to each other"?
Um. serendipity, the dictionary interpretation is wrong. :)
