Please wake up love in the afterglow of the sunset.

I just scolded a sadder than sad story a while ago. Because of the typical Korean drama routine, the characters are boring and the plot is outrageous, so I dismiss it.

But some of my friends really liked the story. I guess they either have a belief in the purity of love, or they have glimpsed their own shadow in the protagonist.
They are open-minded and open-minded in their lives, but they are somewhat disappointed in the unreachability of love, remorse for their hesitation and cowardice, or reluctant to part with a love that has come to an abrupt end. So a bad story becomes a fairy tale in the process of self-perception, an inner monologue.

Just like perfume, the same scent always varies from person to person. Because of body odor or temperament. Movies are like that too.

I like Before sunset, because it is rare to find two pragmatic and romantic westerners. They are also implicit about love, and they are also sullen, missed, and tangled. The biggest difference from "Between" is that there is no such procrastination and sultry to spread rumors. The speech of the two protagonists is serious, although there are cramps, hesitations, and regrets, but the grasp is just right.

The male protagonist did not enjoy the happy marriage that outsiders seemed to him, and the tenderness of his first love never dissipated, but he did not bluntly express his expectation of getting back together with her, because of age, family or concerns. His words were full of regrets, his actions were full of nostalgia, his eyes and words spy on others, and he also asked himself.

She was a woman who pretended to be open-minded and easy-going. When she finally couldn't stop crying in the car, he realized that she was gentle and fragile. She remembered everything, but just pretended not to care. However, being subtle is a woman's prerogative, and a man who is interested should take the initiative.

The end of the film left the audience with infinite reverie, like the soft light of the sunset over the Seine, and the soft French lingering in the ears.

3.5. The creative thinking has undergone a major change: the biggest premise for the establishment of the previous work is that the two have never known each other. The one-day journey after the accidental encounter and impulsive acquaintance is sloppy and unknown, with no starting point and no end, so that the large paragraphs of dialogue are sufficient. Evolving from the shackles of the play into a pure and romantic character interaction. The characters of the sequel have inevitable frontiers and fetters, not only the function and development direction of the plot are clarified, but even the content of the dialogue has lost its original aura due to the enhancement of the narrative, not to mention the script is also in the urgency of time synchronization. Sense is the driving force in and out of the play, and the structure of the film is also disciplined. The biggest problem is that the charisma values of the two leading actors have declined, so it is no longer possible to gather the thinking content that scatters wantonly in the context of the situation. It must be supplemented by the resonance of reality. Comparing the same in-car scenes in the two films, "Before Sunrise" is one shot to the end, but "Before Sunset" changes scenes many times; when Linklater needs to use more directing skills to maintain the mobility of a scene At that time, the weakening of the actor's vitality began quietly.

Before Sunset quotes

  • Celine: [Celine's song] Let me sing you a waltz / Out of nowhere, out of my thoughts / Let me sing you a waltz / About this one night stand / You were, for me, that night / Everything I always dreamt of in life / But now you're gone / You are far gone / All the way to your island of rain / It was for you just a one night thing / But you were much more to me, just so you know / I don't care what they say / I know what you meant for me that day / I just want another try, I just want another night / Even if it doesn't seem quite right / You meant for me much more than anyone I've met before / One single night with you, little Jesse, is worth a thousand with anybody / I have no bitterness, my sweet / I'll never forget this one night thing / Even tomorrow in other arms, my heart will stay yours until I die / Let me sing you a waltz / Out of nowhere, out of my blues / Let me sing you a waltz / About this lovely one night stand
