The dream of a bullet, the legend of a hero

I went through the second and third episodes of this movie today. The first time I watched it in the classroom when I was in elementary school. I didn't understand anything at that time, so I remembered that "a bullet" is really cool. I will watch it now. In fact, many feelings are still vague. The mayor controlled the water, and then what? He forced the townspeople to sell their land and then develop their own real estate to modernize them, right? Rango's appearance disrupts his plans. What kind of conflict is playing out behind this heroic story? The film doesn't make it very clear, but this half-quixote, half-dragon-slaying western does a great job of reviving heroism. It doesn't matter who I am, it matters who I choose to be, I choose to have my story, and my destiny is to complete my story. I think this is the heroism and existentialism that Rango's character represents. The style of the film is really all-encompassing, and the most prominent genre is naturally my westerns. The opposition between civilization and barbarism in traditional westerns is still the root of the film's turbulent undercurrents, but civilization was completely defeated by the choice of barbarism. My favorite scene is Rango walking on the highway in a heartless night, all the cars whizzing by beside him, he has already realized the true meaning of ecstasy, and he is like no one, that scene is really special. pretty. The second is the segment where the bizarre plants are looking for water sources. That segment suddenly feels magical. It is similar to the previous group of people who were exploring the cave with their huge eyes staring at them. The super-zombie-like movie where the Gopher family emerged from the ground must have been taken by the director with private goods. The part where the owl played the electric guitar really made me laugh, and I watched that part several times. It's true that the middle story is a bit slow, and some things are not clearly explained. This movie should be given four stars, but because it is Depp's voice, I decided to add a star for his unparalleled charm. In addition to paying tribute to Clint Eastwood with the soul of the west, the director also paid tribute to various roles of Depp in Lango's personal theater. I can see "Pirates of the Caribbean" and "Scissorhands". Edward" and "Natural Lovers", there should be others, but I can't remember them for a while.

Rango quotes

  • Rango: [Wounded Bird is scratching his down feathers and scattering them into the wind] I see you're communicating with the great spirits.

Wounded Bird: No. I'm molting. It means I'm ready to mate.

  • Waffles: [Rango and his posse have found new purpose in their search for the outlaws] Uh... What exactly are we gonna do now?

    Rango: Now... we ride!

[whip cracks; Rango stops and looks to his right, puzzled]

Rango: [the band of mariachi owls stands a ways away with their instruments, waiting; Rango shouts to them] That means we're riding now! This moment.

[another whip is heard and the owls start playing the background music; everyone is riding roadrunners in the next cut]
