The Infinite Chaos of Noah's Ark

I went to the cinema today to watch Noah. I thought it was a religious propaganda film based entirely on the Bible with luxurious special effects and conveying God’s will like jesus son of God. Although I don’t know the Bible very well, Noah’s image in the Old Testament is more biased. A good man who is honest and caring for his family, the good skills and extreme pursuit of God in the movie version are a bit too much to portray people's inner struggles and fears. When the movie is very deliberately substituting the subconscious of everyone who is guilty and cannot be changed, I will It will be difficult to accept the connotation that the film wants to express.
First of all, whether human beings are the transmission of original sin is the main proposition of this movie. God wants to destroy the world because people at that time are corrupt and incurable, and Noah sees through human greed, sin, and repentance, and everyone has shares in their hearts. When the dark forces can motivate them to sin, they feel that letting human beings multiply is a big reason to destroy the holy world, and they are determined to kill themselves and their family (granddaughter) and see it as a God-given task to him, but in the end, be a part of humanity He couldn't kill his granddaughter, but he had love and gave up the mission of God as he understood it. I think his inner struggle for the life or death of mankind is logically established. If you don't save it, you don't care enough for your second son, which eventually leads to infighting in the family. After the fierce inner struggle, you suddenly realize that I can't do it (killing babies) is just the victory of emotion over rationality. He has not proved that new human beings will have How pure contradicts the previous maintenance of truth, the disharmony of human nature at the end of the main film also makes the whole film confuse the connotation, Christians feel that they have not followed the records of the Bible. Because the obscure features of biblical language are always controversial when they are embodied.
In addition to the unclear concept, the film's expression method is more like the narrative of the Hollywood blockbuster's martial arts costumes rendering color than the art film's attention to detail, although there is no major opinion on this point.
The contradictions of human nature exposed in the whole film make the characters hideous and unnatural under the undoubted innuendo of religion. I don't really enjoy the adaptation of this kind of storyline from an ordinary person's point of view.
This is of course my humble opinion. No matter what kind of movie, you should see more highlights. If you need a more complicated story, this is more suitable.

Ham: I don't belong here. For what it's worth, I'm glad it begins again with you. Maybe we'll learn to be kind.

  • Ila: Will he come back?

Noah: Some things cannot be unbroken.

Ila: I have to know. Why did you spare them?

Noah: I looked down at those two little girls and all I had in my heart was love.

Ila: Then why are you alone, Noah? Why are you separated to your family?

Noah: Because I failed him, and I failed all of you.

Ila: Did you? He chose you for a reason, Noah? He showed you the wickedness of Man and knew you would not look away. And you saw goodness too. The choice was put in your hands because he put it there. He asked you to decide if we were worth saving. And you chose mercy. You chose love. He has given us a second chance. Be a father, be a grandfather. Help us to do better this time. Help us start again.
