After the movie, on the way home alone, I kept thinking about a question: What is Love?
If, love is an instinct, an innate primitive, there will be no quantity//gender//even is a religious restriction.
Those seemingly absurd (?!) plots in the movie made us smile in the theater. We laugh because we feel absurd; we feel absurd because our concept of love comes from nurture. Society is telling us every day what love is. Schools, laws, regulations have been instilling in us some love. It turned out that love is no longer an instinct, but the product of a lot of rules.
Why does love have to be a product of monogamy, one man and one woman? Has the Creator actually appeared in heaven and shouted to the world that polygamy, polygamy and polygamy are sinful? (Don't bring out the Bible, Buddhist scriptures, Koran, I'm not discussing religious issues) In fact, as long as the people living in it acquiesce, what is there to do with others? Also, why does love have to be a one-on-one experience? In the middle of the movie, I got a nameless fire because of the frivolous attitude of the male lead. Later, during the walk, I stopped to think and realized the problem. In fact, no one said that love is a one-on-one game. Ancient China practiced polygamy for thousands of years. I really have no right to judge and say that there is no love in the marriage of countless couples. We think it's immoral for Juan Antonio to fall in love with vicki & cristina at the same time, because we live in a monogamous age and we each criticize in our own way.
There is a scene in the film, when Cristina tells Vicki about his three-person love life, Doug said: If everyone is like this, the world will be in chaos. It is because of this that the society has been promoting love education, marginalizing dissidents, and everyone has the privilege of criticizing and scolding those who are different from themselves. Who exactly are you? What kind of love do you want? Gradually became bloody. For example, vicki in the film, such as judy in the film, has been playing the role expected by society.

I was disappointed with woody allen several times after matchpoint, but this time he really surprised me. The whole film seems to be loose and chaotic, but when you look closely, it is actually chaotic and orderly, and each section is also closely related to the theme. The actors also acted appropriately and naturally. The soundtrack is so good that it makes me want to buy a soundtrack right away. There are too many narrations in the opening paragraph of the film, which is a bit blunt and not very good.
All in all, I don't think the movie actually needs to give the audience an answer. Everyone always has their own ideas. Leaving a blank space for the audience to think about is a good work. This one does it. :-]
