Meta question: How important is the gun battle scene?

This is a fun-to-death meta-black humor serial killer shootout. The movie screenwriter Marty is writing a story called "The Seven Deadly Dogs" (it's the director and screenwriter Martin McDonagh's self-deprecating!), but his brain is constipated and he can't write it. His good friend Billy worked hard to help him find material and inspiration. At the same time, Billy and his partner Hans, who stole the dog and then sold it back to the original owner, secretly stole the dog of the gangster... and the serial killer "Jiezhuji" appeared, Marty wrote Half of the Vietnamese killers, serial killer couples, and Quakers who cut their necks to kill themselves, when the seven murderers all appeared, thought that the story of chaos and nine colors suddenly turned into a straight road. This is a post-scenario movie! The gangster's pursuit of Billy, Hans, and Marty is only for the top line. The main line is that Billy and Hans help Marty to complete the script of "The Mad Dog Seven"!

In the second half of the movie, the three scumbags were discussing the main points of the story of "The Mad Dog Mourning Seven". Billy suggested that the scene was wonderful and hilarious, and those who love to watch B movies/Cult movies must laugh! How important is a shootout to a set? Billy will tell you personally in the movie! The film is advanced with a dark humorous atmosphere. The first half is a little quiet, and the latter is the essence. It all lies in the various designs of meta-scenarios and irony of Hollywood routines. What a true set of "Mourning of the Mad Dog Seven", I will not spoil it, of course.

In particular, the role of Hans is starring the old actor Christopher Walken, and the drama is not a problem. He contrasts the impulsive Billy and the ghostless Marty is a must. And the story of Hanz's character itself is very touching and is of great help to the advancement of the main line of the movie. The older Jiang gets, the hotter he gets, no matter the actor or the character.

Seven Psychopaths quotes

  • Myra: Do you ever worry we was wrong all those years, and there ain't no heaven and there ain't no nothing?

Hans: Of course, I worry God loves us. I know He does. He's just got a funny way of showing it sometimes.

Myra: Sometimes I think God's gone crazy sometimes. Stuff He does, stuff He don't do.

Hans: Well, He's had a lot to contend with in his time, too, you know. Bastards killed His kid, too.

    Myra: Don't say "bastards", honey.

Myra: It's just a word, Myra.

  • Billy: What the hell happened?

Marty: Some punks jumped us. Said they were looking for a little shih tzu. Then some other punk killed those punks.

Billy: I've only been gone 10 fucking minutes!
