How great presidents are made

This film focuses on Lincoln's efforts to liberate black slaves. There are almost no war scenes, and the tragedy of black slaves is not mentioned much. The focus is on canvassing lobbying and political struggle, and the story has almost nothing to tell. It can be said that the story is a bit long and boring. The most impressive thing in the whole article is the conversation and quarrel, and Lincoln's heart almost collapsed.
Daniel, who played Lincoln, is a chameleon in the show business world. If there is one word to describe his performance this time, it would be the line at the end, "Tiredness has penetrated deep into the bone marrow." The audience can empathize with the activities of Lincoln Psychology at the time. Spielberg's film is as calm and atmospheric as always, dressed in elegant makeup, the scenes are restored to reality, and the sense of nostalgia is blowing. As an Oriental, I am still not used to the classical makeup of Westerners, it can be said that it looks messy. The films of the Great Heavenly Dynasty would not dare to achieve such a true restoration, the kind of ancient dirty and ancient chaos.
Lincoln's deeds made mankind a big step forward, and what price he paid is believed to be one of the characters that only he himself knows and cannot be forgotten in history.

Lincoln quotes

  • [Giving a speech at a dedication, Lincoln stands beside the flagpole, and with great ceremony takes off his hat, removes a piece of paper from inside and unfolds it, then puts on his glasses]

Abraham Lincoln: [reading] The part assigned to me is to raise the flag which, if there be no fault in the machinery, I will do. And, when up, it shall be for the people to keep it up.

[takes off his glasses and re-folds the paper]

    Abraham Lincoln: That's my speech.

    [laughter]

  • Abraham Lincoln: [greeting a pair of visitors from Jefferson City] I heard tell once of a Jefferson City lawyer who had a parrot that would wake him each morning crying out 'today's the day the world shall end as scripture has foretold'. And one day, the lawyer shot him for the sake of peace and quiet I presume, thus fulfilling, for the bird at least, his prophecy.

    [the guests don't laugh]
