will watch it again

This is a sentimental movie. The entire movie is full of dialogue. I thought there would be a lot of war content, but it didn't. All kinds of speeches, debates, and conversations must be read with respect and seriousness, otherwise you may not be able to watch them.
"Abolishing slavery by amending the constitution is to bring peace to the world."
Pioneer, who has braved all the hardships to achieve human dignity and freedom, is worthy of being the greatest president of the United States.
The understanding is not very comprehensive. After understanding that period of history, I will read it again carefully. The filming is very good, those passionate words, every sentence is hearty. Worthy of Spielberg.
handsome in one word

Without the background of this big scene, Spielberg, you can't live much empty! Purely as a history teaching film, I watched Lewis, but Tommy is more effective, but James Spader, as always, shamelessly illuminates other people without you, I would be bored to death!

Last year's war horse, this year's Lincoln. Si's old man

Lincoln quotes

  • Thaddeus Stevens: I don't hold with equality in all things, just equality before the law, nothing more.

  • Tad Lincoln: When you were a slave, Mr. Slade, did they beat you?

William Slade: I was born a free man. Nobody beat me except I beat them right back.

    [Mrs. Keckley enters]

Elizabeth Keckley: Mr. Lincoln, could you come with me, please...?

William Slade: Mrs. Keckley was a slave. Ask her if she was beaten.

    Tad Lincoln: Were you...?

Abraham Lincoln: [shakes his head] Tad...

Elizabeth Keckley: I was beaten with a fire shovel when I was younger than you.
