Ten unreasonable points about this film

When we see the ending and are deeply shocked by the protagonist’s design, we often forget to think about many other things, forget that the development of the story is gradually evolving, and the mystery cannot ignore the prudence of the process. And this film has great shortcomings in these areas.

Why did the hand-wounded child seem to have no effect at all? His encounter with the protagonist is also by design?

Why is it necessary to change the name to his friend, and according to the movie, this person seems to have killed him?

Since the film is very clear, the name change is not inherited from the background, but why would alumni send him letters? Is it to give a cover for being investigated by the professor?

Does the old professor’s little girlfriend have any other reasons to stay with him because he admires his talents? But why is there not a little convincing in front of the little girlfriend? Seeing the old professor nagging and frustrated with his little girlfriend, I feel like he is such a petty citizen.

Washington has only the FBI and no COP? This is the reason why the professor never called the police for help when his son was taken away by someone else, even when he knew that he was going to blow up the FBI?

Was the professor secretly renting a car calculated, or why did you decide to start the FBI plan on the day of renting the car?

The professor was in the phone booth and saw a WAGON car passing by in the mirror. Why did he follow him with a suddenly realized expression? How did he know that this company was the company his girlfriend was following?

I can think of a lot about the unreasonable evolution of the plot of the film. A good movie is never tired of it, and a similar good movie cannot stand up to re-watching and scrutiny. If you like the unexpected ending and give this film a rating of more than 4 stars, I think films such as "Small Island", "Sixth Sense", and "Master Key" can withstand this praise better than this film.

  • Oliver Lang: [Talking about Grant] If you want to be his father, you will walk to your house, sleep in your bed, teach your classes, and live your life!

Michael Faraday: What are you doing? How many people are you going to kill?

Oliver Lang: Well, if I see any strange cars on my street, if you feel compelled to talk to someone, a federal agent perhaps, I imagine we're just going to kill one.

  • Oliver Lang: [Talking about Grant] He's a good kid. A strong kid. Reminds me of a boy I grew up with. Maybe you've heard of him. Oliver Lang? I found him in the woods one day. I would hate for Grant to see the same thing.

    Michael Faraday: You sick fuck!
