Why do I give high marks to Warcraft movies

I have played Warcraft 4 times. Although I am a Warcraft player and a Blizzard fan, if the movie is bad, I will not play it so many times. In other words, the Warcraft movie is considered excellent.
First of all, the story of Warcraft is too linear, a film can not tell clearly, Duncan has made a lot of adaptations, I think the adaptation is not bad, it can be seen that Duncan has worked hard. The character special effects are very good, the close-up is very good and the details are excellent! Duncan's use of long lenses for magic looks very good, and a few aerial shots are also very powerful.
The movie starts with a small climax. This is already the practice of commercial movies. It is different from other commercial movies that start with a fight to reach a small climax. The opening of the Warcraft movie is undoubtedly very successful. The scene of Guldan opening the door, plus the theater The sound effects make all audiences feel the shock and enter the world of the movie.
The scene of Ironforge flashed by, and so did the distant view of Stormwind City. In fact, in one of the trailers, there was a scene of Ironforge that did not appear in the movie. This can only be blamed on the 40-point cut of the movie. Some people criticized the editing problem. It should also be because the 40 minutes are gone, so I can only hope for a director's cut. However, my personal viewing experience is very good, probably because I know the whole story and don't feel much editing problems.
Why do I give high marks to Warcraft? Because Warcraft is a special movie. Although it is a commercial film, it is different from some other commercial films. Most commercial films in the United States are already a model: problems arise, problems are solved, and finally a happy ending. No matter how big the crisis, how strong the BOSS, but in the process of watching the movie, we already know that in the end, the protagonists won.
The World of Warcraft is different.
After reading it, some passers-by asked, why didn't Gul'dan die? The person asking this obviously thinks the bad guy must die in the end. That's the beauty of Warcraft, Gul'dan doesn't die at the end of the film, but he later dies somewhere else. Lothar, whom many thought was the main character, died shortly after the movie's plot. World of Warcraft is not the kind of story in which the good guy defeats the bad guy. It’s not the kind of story in which the protagonist defeats the BOSS to solve the incident and flirt with the girl. It doesn’t have a real protagonist. , whether he is a good guy or a bad guy, they are all part of this world, and the bad guy is not a tool to be defeated by the protagonist.
As mentioned earlier, the story of Warcraft is linear, its chronicle spans thousands of years, and various races survive, conflict, and cooperate in Azeroth. Every character changes in the environment, some fall and some grow. All this makes Azeroth exude infinite charm.
So, I'm in tears, for the fate of every character in it. The atmosphere of the film is also due to the soundtrack by Ramin Djawadi, who likes to use the main melody variation very well, which integrates well with the scene. The Horde is the opening music, with great bass and exciting. Medivh's music, Medivh, embodies his greatness and gloom as a guardian. Victory and Defeat embodies a sense of tragic and solemn, and the combination of the film is tear-jerking, in fact, I also cried while watching the film. Llane's Solution is also pathetic, especially the last part of the music, which corresponds to Garona's return to the tribe in the film, making people feel the trick of fate. Mak'gora, Lothar took Ryan's corpse and flew away on a griffin, far away in the air, with a long sadness. The last song For Azeroth, at the end of the film, Lothar shouted: "For Azeroth! For the Alliance!" I burst into tears in my seat, as if I was one of them.

So, I give the Warcraft movie a high score. In this era of superhero blockbusters, it is like a clear stream. I'm eagerly looking forward to the next one, and the budget doesn't decrease.

Warcraft quotes

  • Garona: [on Khadgar] He wishes to lie with me.

    Khadgar: I beg your pardon?

    Garona: You would be injured.

Khadgar: I don't want to lie with you!

Garona: Good. You would not be an effective mate.

    [Lother snickers]

Garona: Why do you laugh? I cannot see how you humans survive such a thing. How you survive anything. No muscles to protect you, brittle bones that break.

  • Durotan: Wherever Gul'dan works his magic, the land dies.
