make up mysteries

Watching a movie just wants to see a good story.

There are a lot of bugs in this movie. The biggest bug is the underground clones. The government project has a camera or something to monitor it. Such a large-scale riot, where is the government army, and the police with real guns can't beat the civilians with scissors. Where did the underground people come from, brand new red tooling, shiny big scissors. Why can't the high-strength clones who can kill with one strike catch up with the lame male protagonist? Obviously you can slash the heroine's face, why do you have to slash yourself with a knife, crazy, my son attracts clones to go into the fire to prevent the car from blowing up, the heroine keeps calling nonono and I'm also confused.

The overall feeling is that, for the sake of thriller, it's terrifying, it's mysterious, and you don't have to do anything about the plot. However, as an ordinary audience, I just want to watch the plot, metaphors, etc., watching movies for entertainment, and I don't take ideological and political courses.

Personal opinion, if you don't like it, don't spray it.

Jordan Peele has really gone further and further in anti-typing to a level where it almost has the style of the author (but doesn't), but I think the biggest problem is in the story (or the way it is told). From time to time, the film will reveal the slow pace of Continental, slowly expanding the perspective and audience perception one after another in cadence. Incorporates elements of a lot of horror sub-genres without feeling out of place. However, even with fresh and evocative audio-visual and playwriting skills, this seemingly step-by-step story, carefully crafted in every scene, is really uninteresting and has little sense of surprise. This story frequently reminds me of similar films like Shyamalan (such as "Death"), indulging in an adventure and slashing journey of a family of four that unfolds in a big story background with a lot of symbolic meanings. After the final world view is presented, it only feels contrived, even if there is a reversal that has been guessed for a long time, the emotions and aftertaste that should arise from this are washed away by this big setting. If you are looking forward to a horror movie or even a thriller, I think you can lower your expectations.

  • Kitty Tyler: Ophelia, call the police.

Ophelia: OK. Playing "Fuck tha Police" by N.W.A.

  • Red: Once upon a time, there was a girl and the girl had a shadow. The two were connected, tethered together. And the girl ate, her food was given to her warm and tasty. But when the shadow was hungry, he had to eat rabbit raw and bloody. On Christmas, the girl received wonderful toys; soft and cushy. But the shadow's toys were so sharp and cold they sliced through her fingers when she tried to play with them. The girl met a handsome prince and fell in love. But the shadow at that same time had Abraham, it didn't matter if she loved him or not. He was tethered to the girl's prince after all. Then the girl had her first child, a beautiful baby girl. But the shadow, she gave birth to a little monster. Umbrae was born laughing. The girl had a second child, a boy this time. They had to cut her open and take him from her belly. The shadow had to do it all herself. She named him Pluto, he was born to love fire. So you see, the shadow hated the girl so much for so long until one day the shadow realized she was being tested by God.
