The newly-married Victor could not remember the oath, so he was frightened by the old parents, father-in-law and mother-in-law, and fled to the black forest to practice the oath unconsciously. Finally finished the oath fluently, and gorgeously put the ring on a branch to make a appearance. Unexpectedly, the ground trembled and a zombie bride jumped out. Said affectionately: "Now you can kiss the bride." Victor was then kidnapped to the city of the UDs.
At first, the kidnapped groom was still thinking of going home and explaining the whole process to his lovely fiancée, but the woman's jealousy was unstoppable, so he managed to escape and was discovered by Emily (zombie). bride) angrily tied it back. Under the research of Skeleton Scholar, Emily knew she was under a curse, so she was always waiting to get married. The father-in-law, who found that Victor was missing and did not want to postpone the wedding, simply married Victor's fiancée Victoria to Sir Bacchus. When Victor heard the news from the old coachman who had just died of illness, all his thoughts were lost.
Emily knew that her curse had to be solved only by the death of the bridegroom, and she could be free, but she couldn't bear to let Victor die. Victor himself expressed his willingness to die, so the UDs held a big wedding, and they went to the small town church to hold the wedding at Victor's suggestion. At this time, Sir Bacchus, who found that Victoria had no dowry and was frightened by the UDs, was greatly disappointed. Victoria arrives at the church and sees Victor and Emily taking the oath of marriage. Just as Victor was about to drink the poison to free Emily from the wedding curse, Emily saw Victoria and she stopped Victor. The undead Sir Bacchus also came to the church to chase Victoria back, and happened to bruise Emily.
It turned out that the man who was infatuated with Emily was Sir Bacchus, who killed Emily, who was waiting to elope with him in a dress, and thus defrauded a lot of money. However, Emily is still infatuated and waits every day to get married. Sir Bacchus tried to kill Victor in order to take Victoria, but was blocked by Emily; instead, he mocked Emily, taking the poison that turns people into zombies on the table and drinking it as red wine ...
So Sir Bacchus, who became a zombie, was beaten by all the UDs, and Emily was finally freed from the curse of the wedding. She returned the ring to Victor and asked him to marry Victoria. In the moonlight, Emily turned into a butterfly with her wedding dress...
Seeing this, I finally couldn't help crying after laughing wildly. I had no idea that the director would so unscrupulously design such a deceitful ending to tears. Emily's infatuation is manifested in the fact that she is always waiting for her lover's arrival, even if the entrustment is not human, she has no regrets; however, she is not a character who wants to get married regardless of means. When she sees Victoria, Perhaps thinking of her own pain, she stopped Victor from drinking the poison. She is a truly loving person, whether in life or death, she is always waiting for her groom with a loving heart. Therefore, although she was jealous at first and kidnapped Victor from Victoria, she finally returned Victor to Victoria after she understood the origin of her curse.
Maybe the director knew about China's famous "The Liang Zhu", which made Emily finally turn into a butterfly; maybe he didn't know, just saw how free the butterfly is. So in the moonlight, Emily turned into a butterfly and flew away freely; just as at the beginning of the film, Victor lifted the glass cover and let go of the butterfly, fate finally made Victor fulfilled by chance. The promise of freedom for Emily, and the marriage between him and Victoria, brought a happy ending to the love of the two women - although, in some people's eyes, Emily did not have a happy ending.
Love, only selflessness, and only giving, can reap good things; people who only want to grab will not end well in the end - just like Sir Bucks in the film who wants to cheat the dowry. Maybe my interpretation of this movie is really shallow, but this is my own perception. The best results can only be achieved if both parties sincerely pay without seeking results.
This is about the second movie that has made me cry and cry again.
