An audio-visual feast that stirs my heart

Extraordinary films, in all senses, including entertaining viewing and a certain ideological, visual and auditory feast. Some of the songs in the film are too moving and too good to listen to, the sounds of nature and the soul. In fact, I didn't really care about musicals. Although I liked "The Sound of Music", I couldn't find it at all in "Singing in the Rain". And this "The King of the Circus" is very entertaining and exciting. The prototype of the story said such a kumquat: The noblest art is that of making others happy. The film is an excellent interpretation of this.

To put such a script on the big screen, it is better to move it to Broadway. A "good" film far exceeds "good-looking", every song is intoxicating under the exquisite setting, but just this exquisite intoxication can't make people ignore the lack and simplicity of the story.

a good musical...so the circus was a very accidental product? One fire, one rich second generation, one bad review... Without them, maybe the movie IT of the same year would not appear?

Lettie Lutz: You need to leave, sir.

P.T. Barnum: You are beautiful. You are unique.

  • P.T. Barnum: My father was treated like dirt. I was treated like dirt. My children won't be.
