I didn't expect it to be so beautiful! In the beginning, the teacher mentioned it because Barnum, as the father of communication, basically has knowledge about him in every subject. Later, the king of the circus was mentioned. The second time I saw Barnum, it was psychological. In the textbook, I became more curious about him. I had no idea there was a movie! After watching this movie, it has replaced the Titanic as my No. 1! Let's not talk about whether it fits the historical facts. After all, I don't know the history of the United States.
I only know that Barnum has made great contributions to communication and psychology. In the whole movie, no one is completely bad and no one is completely noble. The characters are very full and three-dimensional, and everything that everyone does is excusable. This is the real world! At the same time, the various characters in it are a group of people who pursue belonging, love, and equality. They are fanatic but rational, and have different positions but are objective and peaceful. I was attracted by their various good qualities, and finally, it was a real success! It conveys the values that I very much agree with: people are created equal, the world is a big stage, the pursuit of self-realization is the meaning of life, and you must be brave for everything you love and don’t forget the scenery you pass by while you are rushing.
With someone or something that accompanies you!
The lives of all the people at the circus, whether it's Barnum or his associates or the so-called weirdos, I can understand, as if I have their shadows in me. But no matter who you are, such kind and hard-working people are equally worthy of being respected and loved!
