being real

Movies are things that cater to values. I think this sentence is quite right. This movie was put a year ago, and maybe I don’t know what it is talking about, what it means to cherish the present and what it means to work hard. I can only see the present clearly, but after watching this movie, I want to say, I have to go to see the past, remember the past, how can I remember the present without remembering the past? When David stood on the roof and was asked by tech support "What is your happiness now?" I unconsciously answered "being real". Maybe what was missed won't come back, but how can the present not be repeated in the future? Only being real. After spending these 2 hours, it was like a feeling of uncontrollable tears. There was no sadness in my heart, but tears flowed down my face. Maybe my heart had forgotten that sadness, but my body still remembered that sadness. Jump down, who knows will wake up, but really want a real, a real love.

If I accept that a virtual world can be happy, why should I accept a real world, but real and virtual are only different in name, but there is no difference in essence?

David's difficulty in distinguishing Julie/Sofia in "Clear Dreams" symbolizes the castrated anxiety of men over women and the confusion and agnosticism of femme fatalities/innocent and kind women. The suddenly empty and extinct modern urban scene at the beginning points directly to the illusory nature of modern human society characterized by the rush of traffic. Typical psychoanalytic film text.

Vanilla Sky quotes

  • Libby: You'll be meeting Rebecca Dearborn, my personal role model.

  • Brian: You can do whatever you want with your life, but one day you'll know what love truly is. It's the sour and the sweet. And I know sour, which allows me to appreciate the sweet.
