To be a human, but not a woman

"Frailty, thy name is women", Shakespeare said in Hamlet.
as a woman, we are always thought to be timid. If she has her own dream, her own ambitious, the man who around her will one day leave her, thinking she is strong enough to face all the hardship.
In the movie, I was deeply moved by Karen. since I found some similarities between us, I thought I could understand her better. Undoubtedly, she was much more mature than me. Frist of all, she was a real woman, and her experience made her very charming, of course for those who knew the true beauty. than, the life in Africa made her a real human. She was totally independence when she was leaving there. Independence didn't mean she wouldn't feel lonely or something else, but she could live without self interference. In fact, most of the time, when we feel unhappy, the feeling has nothing to do with others. after experiencing so much hardship, she learned how to face the life, she learned something would never belong to her. Just as what she said at the final of the movie, she knew how to make herself to undertake and accept all the things may happen.at last, the so called gentle men invited her to drink together, at that time, she didn't exist as a woman, but a human. A true human , who knew how to get on well with the nature, a true human, who knew what was the most important thing in life. Also, the love between them really gave her all the courage in the rest of her own life. Though he died , he loved her forever, he knew her, he can feel her.he loved her forever, he knew her, he can feel her.he loved her forever, he knew her, he can feel her.
she really taught me a lot of things. I will think of her, when I lose my confidence about life.
By the way ,this movie make me fall in love with Africa, just as another classical movie English Patient.

Out of Africa quotes

  • Karen Blixen: [Denys lands his two-seater aircraft, and Karen runs to greet him] Where did you get it?

    Denys: Mombasa. Get in!

Karen Blixen: [as they take off] When did you learn to fly?

    Denys: Yesterday!

  • Karen Blixen: "The time you won your town the race, we chaired you through the marketplace; man and boy stood cheering by, as home we brought you shoulder-high. Smart lad, to slip betimes away from fields where glory does not stay. Early though the laurel grows, It withers quicker than a rose. Now you will not swell the rout of lads that wore their honors out. Runners whom renown outran, and the name died 'fore the man. And round that early-laureled head will flock to gaze the strengthless dead and find unwithered on its curls a garland briefer than a girl's."
