An orphan (Eric Banner), who has been without a parent since he was a child, becomes a scientist in the U.S. military at Berkeley as an adult, specializing in the research of new high-energy bombs. He and General Ross' daughter Betty Ross (Jennifer · Connery) in love. With a smooth career and relationship, he seems to have gotten rid of the shadow of childhood loneliness and embarked on a life path that everyone envies. But the good times didn't last long. In a routine test, a gamma-ray explosion caused by the protection of a researcher accidentally induced the mysterious power in Banner's body. After being attacked by strong gamma rays, whenever he is emotionally excited, Banner will lose his self-consciousness and transform into a green giant, with super destructive power and will to resist at the same time.
