An orphan (Eric Banner), who has been without a parent since he was a child, becomes a scientist in the U.S. military at Berkeley as an adult, specializing in the research of new high-energy bombs. He and General Ross' daughter Betty Ross (Jennifer · Connery) in love. With a smooth career and relationship, he seems to have gotten rid of the shadow of childhood loneliness and embarked on a life path that everyone envies. But the good times didn't last long. In a routine test, a gamma-ray explosion caused by the protection of a researcher accidentally induced the mysterious power in Banner's body. After being attacked by strong gamma rays, whenever he is emotionally excited, Banner will lose his self-consciousness and transform into a green giant, with super destructive power and will to resist at the same time. But Banner doesn't know exactly, and doesn't seem to want to know that he has the ability to transform that is different from ordinary people...
