A well-regarded youth growth film. As the director's debut work, there is not much distinctive or prominent style, but it is better than the more delicate excavation of the characters from the female perspective, especially the depiction of the mother-daughter relationship, which captures the most essential moodiness of women, and it was tit for tat last second. They challenged each other, and in the next second they could sympathize with each other and let go of the past. The last scene of my mother seeing off her daughter at the airport touched me very much. The humorous dialogue with Bering's film maintains a smart sense of rhythm, and the choice of music is full of the breath of the American independent small fresh type. Of course, what surprised me most was director Greta Gerwig's affectionate depiction of the California city of Sacramento, which instantly made the story a lot of autobiographical color, which is also the most sincere aspect of the film.
