'Robin Hood': A Prequel That Somewhat Familiar

I have seen a lot of Robin Hood movies, and the one that impressed me the most is the one starring Costner; I was surprised to find that this film is not the usual Robin Hood mode, but more like a prequel.

It was not until the end that the subtitles were typed, "The legendary life begins...", which shows that the film does not focus on the story of Robin Hood's heroism after he became famous, but tells us how he was forced to take this road. He was also a heroic soldier, became a pirate, and even became a hero of the country, but a series of changes created a legend.

In fact, whether there is a Robin Hood in history has been controversial. After all, it is difficult to say clearly what happened 8 or 900 years ago. After all, Europe was in chaos at that time, and Britain and France were also in a lively situation. It was the common people who had to suffer from the years of war. This required the emergence of heroes to save them. Kings and nobles are all thinking of ways to exploit the common people, so it is more reasonable for people to imagine that the great heroes are born to common people. As the film said, he saved the country, but was envied and rejected by those in power, so he had to go into seclusion and return to his true character as a grass and tree hero.

This is a movie that pursues freedom and power and resists foreign aggression. Does it look familiar? Yes, "Braveheart", the tune is too similar. It's just that this film takes place in England and lacks the strong Scottish flavor of the film, but the heroes pursue freedom and equality. Of course, the ruling class is not so easy to deal with, and they all betray our protagonists. Mel Gibson's "freedom" is a powerful film. Relatively speaking, the film's momentum is slightly inferior.

I feel that Russell Crowe is also getting old, and he has long lost the sturdy figure and vigorous figure in "Gladiator" back then, and the rest is a big belly and a laborious battle. Hey, time goes by, no one can catch it!

  • Sir Robert Loxley: Kneel, you ignorant bastards! Kneel before the King!

    [King Richard laughs]

Sir Robert Loxley: All of you, move back, now.

King Richard The Lionheart: No, no, Locksley, these men are soldiers at play. Sinners, after mine own heart. Which one of you started the fight?

Robin Longstride: I did, Sire. I threw the first punch.

King Richard The Lionheart: Ah, an honest man. And who're you fighting?

Little John: He was fighting me, your Majesty. I thought him to be a lesser man. He was showing me different.

King Richard The Lionheart: An enemy that shows his respect. Stand up, the pair of you.
