[1] Boring nervousness
Just like the previous work of this production team, "The Brothers", the first impression of "Pacific" is also the boring nervousness, but this is what I like about it.

War films easily have two tendencies that I don't like very much.

One is vulgarization. For example, certain domestic war films (especially those depicting the War of Resistance Against Japan). As the other side of the war, the Japanese were completely propped up and even clowns. You can't help wondering how such a low-powered opponent was tortured. We are 14 years. Such war films and their cultural culture can only produce mentally retarded verbal patriots, and cannot make people reflect on how our country has fallen into a beating situation, reflect on the great harm of war, and it is not only Japan who forgets history. People, we Chinese people, at least I haven't seen a realistic depiction of the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression until today. Vulgarized war films spread low-level hatred and entertaining deconstruction of the cruelty of war. "Landmine War" and others may be qualified children's films, but how can they support the memory and thinking of a nation?

The second is beautification. This phenomenon is found in domestic war films, and there are also many in American war films. It is too immersed in the historical view of success and failure, and exaggerates heroism. When creating heroes one by one, it is easy for people to ignore the fact that "one accomplishment will succeed all the bones". Of course, there are many people who like violent aesthetics. In fact, I also like it. Perhaps this is an insurmountable animal instinct? But if there is a violent aesthetic in the film depicting real war, I cannot accept it. Japanese anime character Kenshin Himura said that if we win and simply think that we are right, then our logic and the enemy are indistinguishable. I believe that a good war movie must be anti-war, just as a real soldier cannot be warlike.

Having said so many things that have nothing to do with the film, I want to say that these two trends have not yet been discovered in the film. I expect that there will be some psychological suffering after watching this drama, but fortunately, it seems to be one episode a week.

[2] Absurd Glory After
watching the two episodes, I still can't remember who the people in the play are, but it doesn't seem to matter. If you put aside all background knowledge, this story is actually full of absurdity. A group of people came to a once-unknown island, fired machine guns at the rushing enemy, watched their comrades die, and then left.

"I try not to think."——When life is like grass, perhaps only numbness can preserve the wandering soul of a person.

"I don't want to look in your eyes someday, and see no spark, no love no life."-However, people still have to invest in this slaughterhouse in the name of justice.

"You're heros back home."-When this line appeared, the corners of my eyes were moist, and the perseverance against humanity authorized by humanity finally gained glory, but the inherent absurdity of war is like a shadow. After all, this glory is stepped on. On the pile of corpses.

We can never forget war, not for hatred, or even for glory, but to remember its absurdity.

[3] Yu Shuihuan
American soldiers and Australian crush soldiers and civilians Yushui are a family. This episode can be called buffalo beef for viewers who want to watch the bullet fly.
I just think of the "military and civilian fish and water family" in the domestic film and television drama, which is quite interesting in comparison. Speaking of it, the old and beautiful fish water is more worthy of the name.
To some extent, Leckie was lucky, was dumped, and then ran away comfortably.
This is more murder than each other, who knows that you will eat bullets someday?
War is good at distorting various emotions.

[4]
From the perspective of domestic "mainstream" concepts in the fourth episode of Gou Xiong Bei, it is extremely decadent. Some suicide, some urinary incontinence, and some who stole a plane and wanted to go home...
Killed a few suicide attacks. After the devils, the soldiers have been in the rain.
Fight for Mao? Do you want to get Mao in the rain in this ghost place?
Heroes are forced out, but bears seem to be born.
I often think, the last time the slaughterhouse was the last time the people who liked to call out on the forum were there were more heroes or more bears?
