justice?

The movie is wonderful from the second half. However, after going through several crime-themed word-of-mouth works in 2007, I already have a certain amount of patience in the face of the suspense that tickles the appetite.
In fact, the twists and turns of the plot are unexpected and by no means exciting. After all, the focus of the whole story is not on the process of getting to the bottom of the story, I guess it is faithful to the original at this point. (Remember where I learned that this is director Xiaoben's self-proclaimed favorite novel.)
The last dialogue happened between Patrick and little Amanda, and I thought it was a good pen. When he learns that the doll that disappeared with the child is called Annabelle, not the Mirabelle that the mother keeps talking about, the male protagonist must have chest tightness again.
The most unfortunate thing is that the beautiful girl who once fought and shared weal and woe with him left him because of this choice. Pay the price, which of these characters is not. Looking back at the couple's mentality during the investigation process, the hope for the little girl's survival seems to always fluctuate. Some are just words of mutual comfort, but there is no consensus.
Xiaoben, who was the first director of the tube, made his own younger brother, who was neither stalwart nor upright, into a hero. (Of course, it's quite questionable whether the real hero might have anger.) It's worth noting that Patrick in the story was a scumbag. (This point is reminded by later people, and then I think about the clues in the movie.) What is in front of him is his extraordinary wisdom (how he doubted Remy, and how to find the retired one, it is really amazing.) , the hard work and price paid for those children and their families, including a heart-warming bullet sent to a pervert, as well as the choices he made and the justice he thought. It is not a profound question, but it is left to the audience to ponder.
As for the tricks of Morgan Freeman and Ed Harris, the two seniors in the police industry, their motives are overwhelming, but they don't seem to convince me (fortunately, they still work as police officers). If the wave stays at the second fold, I am more convinced. Perhaps it is the concept first, and I would rather trust an old face like Ed Harris to be corrupt than to trust his sentimentality. However, this awkwardness has not yet affected my positive evaluation of the entire film.
Finally, I want to say, Gone Baby Gone, it seems difficult to find a suitable Chinese translation name to match.

  • [Atop the cliff where the exchange is supposed to take place]

Patrick Kenzie: How's he going to get her up here?

    [gunshots erupt]

  • Interrogating Officer: Now, you're at the quarry the other night, right? And you have no idea that this is a setup? You're baffled. Right?

Patrick Kenzie: [smiling] No, because, strange as it might seem, I believe the police when they tell me something!

Interrogating Officer: You're a fresh prick, you know that?
