It's been a long time since I saw a skillful movie. Although there are suspicions of dazzling skills, but I am deeply impressed. Looking at the poster, I thought it was a manor movie like Sense and Sensibility, but it almost took me away.
There are different lighting styles in the upper, middle and lower part of the film. The manor in the previous paragraph used sharp editing and flashbacks, which made me think I was watching a crime thriller. The soundtrack greatly enhanced the atmosphere, sometimes creating a strong contrast between sound and picture, highlighting the drama.
The rhythm of the middle part and the second half is a little slower, which ensures the authenticity of the language of the shots and at the same time, it is very calm compared to the previous part. In the middle section, a gorgeous war shell is used to highlight the love epic in the war. The director's shocking scheduling and real and fantastic dreams and fantasies make the second section full of romance even though it is a war. At 65 minutes, there is a war that is unique in history. The long shot, as long as 6 minutes, has a large span of scenes and contains a wide range of information. One has to admire Joe Wright's ability to control large scenes. Few directors in the world can hold such a long shot. The second section uses realistic shots to show the second female's atonement and inner drama. The three-in-one actor's performance is superb, and the script is exquisitely arranged, which is convincing. The ending also elevates the movie, from the redemption of oneself to the redemption of the lives of others, which is amazing.
