It's a good movie, but it's a little worse as a horror movie, and a suspense movie is great. The highlight of this film is that the previous plot is not fully explained, let the audience guess for themselves, a thousand people and a thousand Hamlets. Everyone's inner thoughts are different. I thought it was insane at first, and then thought that 1408 was a different world space, but it turned out that there was a real problem. Still haven't figured out that the protagonist didn't choose to quickly check out, and only later learned that it was suicide. What I guess is that the protagonist wakes up from the beach and thinks that he has escaped from the room. This setting is wonderful in that the transition of the worker who takes the envelope to destroy the room is great, and it shatters the good hope and pulls back to hell. The devils of 1408 are very good at destroying the minds of residents. No wonder there are more than 50 natural deaths. In some places, what I don't understand is whether the repairman's visit is real, and whether the protagonist really climbed up the ventilation duct. The notebook successfully called his ex-wife, but the previous call couldn't get through. The film expresses human nature and the feelings of the protagonist in the ventilation ducts, in the TV set, and in the vision of the daughter. Indeed, no matter what film is, it must be interspersed with emotions in order to have flesh and blood. This is also the reason why the protagonist is more determined to burn the house. Some people may hope that the protagonist will survive, but there will still be people living in the house. It is also a kind of happiness for the soul to be with the daughter in the room that destroys the devil, and the ex-wife also has another man. Each has a place to stay. I have to say that the scorched man in the rearview mirror of the car surprised me at the end. In general, it is more suspenseful and less terrifying, and the positioning of the suspenseful movie is good.
