Questions that will never be answered, see also multiple ending movies. . . .

The middle of the film reminds me of Silent Hill 4, but the good news is that it is much gentler than Silent Hill, just a guest room.

I watched the film very seriously, and made judgments and analyses as the horrific scene unfolded. I suspected hallucinogens in the food, hallucinogenic gas in the room, nightmares...

but actually seeing the ending made me very ft, how could this be!

I watched the "Director's Cut (Unrated) Ending", one of the four endings, and it was this supposedly orthodox ending that kept my questions unanswered for a long time.

Some people say that people who study the logic of horror movies are fools. But I didn't really think it was a horror movie at first, so I was as serious as watching a detective movie. But until now, I have to admit that it is not a detective mystery film, there are obviously a lot of supernatural things in it.

Some say it attacks atheists, I have nothing to say about that. I once said that I am an atheist, and I also said that I am a ghost. Who cares, there are so many things that humans don’t know and exist, how can we simply classify things as ghosts.

Watch this film and just follow the plot, don't think too much, just enjoy the process. . . .

PS: The ending of this version is still better, just better. . . .

  • [the problem about Mike staying in 1408]

Gerald Olin: Look, I'm not telling you not to stay in that room for your own good or for the profit of the hotel. Frankly, selfishly, I just don't want to clean up the mess.

  • Room 1408: Five. This is five. Ignore the sirens. Even if you leave this room, you can never leave this room.

Room 1408: [Voice changes and handset begins to melt] Eight. This is eight. We have killed your friends. Every friend is now dead.
