1 The actor's acting skills are unremarkable.
2 The cinematic art setting is mediocre and unbright.
3 Too much reliance on computer production, too fake production of scene characters, too strong CG sense.
4 The story is too far-fetched and there are too many loopholes.
5 The storyline is childish and unattractive.
6 There is no character that can really move people.
7 After dragging and pulling for more than two hours, many contents can be completely deleted.
8 Inexplicable character settings. Are there Earthlings on Mars?
9 There are too many elements in the show, and there is almost no sense of reality.
10 inexplicable alien technology.
11 Inexplicable Martian biological settings.
12 The setting of the super civilization behind the scenes that will destroy the story.
13 scenes, costumes and other artistic styles are inconsistent, tattered, and the feeling of patchwork.
14 The sense of substitution is not strong. From the beginning to the end, it is the feeling of a few Mars tribes fighting for a little.
15 Too many main characters and too many main lines make the movie drag and drop.
16 is too fantastical, childish and young.
17 The plot is old-fashioned, with no bright spots, and nothing new.
18 The illogical Martian biological chain.
19 A giant beast appeared out of nowhere.
20 Too much overused VFX is aesthetically exhausting.

I forced the overseas students to watch it in the vue theater in uk. After watching it, I realized that it was the ancestor. It turned out to be a science fiction novel more than 100 years ago! I said how the hell go to the theater, except for my boyfriend and me, the rest are seventy or eighty-year-old ladies! ! When leaving the scene, I found an old lady supporting an old lady who was walking tremblingly! ! !

A no-brainer movie is pretty cool to watch.

John Carter quotes

  • Dalton: [back at Carter's estate, Dalton reads from Carter's will] And lastly, I hereby direct, that my estate shall be held in trust for twenty five years. The income to benefit my beloved nephew, Edgar Rice Burroughs. At the end of which term, the principal will revert to him, in full.

Edgar Rice Burroughs: [Burroughs looks shocked] Of course, I always adored him, but it's been so long. Why me?

Dalton: He never offered an explanation, I never asked him for one.

[Dalton passes an old looking journal to Burroughs]

Dalton: It was his private journal. He was most explicit that you, and only you, would read its contents. You might possibly find some kind of explanation in here. I'll leave you now.

[Dalton stands and offers his hand to Burroughs]

    Dalton: Again, my condolences.

    [Dalton turns and leaves]

  • John Carter: [voice over] My dear Edgar, I remember how I used to take you on my knee and tell you wild tales, which you always did me the great courtesy of believing. Now you are grown, time and space have parted us, but I reach out across that distance, to that same wide eyed boy and ask him to believe me once more. This wild tale begins thirteen years ago, in the Arizona Territory, between the Pinaleño Mountains and the backside of hell.
