I just got home from the movie theater, and when I think about it again, the only shots I can remember are those in the trailer, and then there are a few funny dialogues. As a sci-fi action movie, the highlight is the funny content, which is really inappropriate.
A bit too much is a singing clip, which is purely a nonsensical spoof, and the plot is not short, and there was laughter in the audience at that time. Hellboy is a comic that has been around for many years. Foreigners who watch movies know a lot about him, and the image in their hearts is also very fixed. It is a bit unexpected that such a paragraph suddenly appeared. It's also because the director wants to give everyone new ideas, but it's too abrupt and it's a bit unacceptable.
The content of the plot is lackluster and not too new. Many similar movies have similar plots, and the rhythm is not right. Several big fights are not enough to pave the way. It feels exciting but not very cool. The ending is very cliché. It can be said that I have imagined a variety of endings, but I didn't guess it would be this one, because this is really the most mindless and most common ending. I didn't expect such a famous director to choose such an inadvertent treatment.
Another point is that many designs of characters and sets can be seen that the director is very attentive, so it is difficult to understand why such a careful director is so sloppy in the plot.
When it comes to character design, it is indeed a bright spot. The director of Pan's Labyrinth is indeed very good in this regard. The monsters and the scenery are all handled with great detail and feel. However, there are some key points, the monsters with a lot of shots feel a little wrong. From the trailer, you can also see that some monsters have the shadow of Pan, and after watching them carefully many times in the complete film, this feeling is even more so. Therefore, the monster design is more than fine and creative, which can make people a little excited when they first see it, but it is not very surprising.
Some of the ornaments in the film are very good in rotation and patterns, and they are really good. Golden Army initially looked a bit messy in the trailer, but it looks much better in the movie.
The effect of some big scenes feels bad, it feels good but the impact is not enough. The film's music has serious problems. The music is very atmospheric, but it always does not match the plot, and some bland plots are also accompanied by very intense music. I really don't understand how to think. The level of the soundtrack is very similar to those not very serious war films made recently in China, such as "On the Taihang Mountains", "Night Attack" and so on. It is the content that makes you feel quite boring. Can you use the music to push it hard?
Overall, it's okay to watch, but don't expect too much. Maybe it was because my expectations were too high. After watching it, I felt that it was not worth going to the cinema. I felt that this film was enough to download and watch at home.
