A heroic father's love for his children

Patriots, I personally think it is not as good as Braveheart.
War of Independence. Fight for freedom? Maybe. .
But I think it's more of a sense of irony, people who were reckless for this battle at that time.
They all firmly believe that they can create a brand-new society, a completely equal and free country with their own hands.
Nearly a hundred and fifty years later, let's look back on this vision. . .
Do you feel helpless and bored? ? ?
Where can there be a country of complete equality and true freedom? ?
War has always been a means of seeking political power and interests for a very small number of people. . .
Heroes have always been thankless tragic figures.
I'm not interested in any of this!
Except for all the ways they fought -
can't figure out why people fought like that back then.
On the plain, walk forward and shoot each other...
OMG, the people in the front row are so miserable! ! !

What really moved me was not the spirit of fighting for freedom,
but the love of this heroic father for his children.

Gabriel Edward Martin: I've come to call on Anne.

Mr. Howard: Well of course you call yourself a man!

Miss Anne Howard/ Mrs. Anne Martin: Father stop it! You heard him!

  • John Billings: There's a story going around 'bout how some twenty Redcoats got killed by a ghost or some damn thing, carried a Cherokee tomahawk.

Benjamin Martin: Aren't you a little old to be believing in ghost stories?
