Little surprise!

1. Although the stunts are a bit rough, but considering that this is the level of the 90s, it is not bad
2. The thin appearance of the heroine is too suitable for a paranoid female scientist (but the space capsule part could have been played better)
3. The imagination is good without making the alien look weird. But I still haven't seen the real body of the alien (if the real body is revealed, it will definitely be considered unimaginative)
4. Both the male and female protagonists have slept, so I know the conclusion of the film's discussion of science and religion must be : The two have the same goal
. 5. Oh! It turns out that the male protagonist is Matthew McConaughey! Just found out after reading it! What a surprise!
6. Unbearable logical errors: The heroine cannot confirm her own story, but in fact she cannot deduce the conclusion that "God exists".

Isn't it a waste of space if there are just us in the huge universe?

A bad world view, conservative humanism, conservative religious view, scientific gimmicks when desserts, voting, inexplicable relationship with Matthew, etc. are all scumbags. This kind of film is very disgusting. Use Science is used as a diaper to wrap the human center, but trying to reconcile religion and science is a failure, because you are not sincerely reconciling, but using scientific leaks to let religion make up. This is a shameless story.

  • Richard Rank: My coalition's phone lines have been flooded with calls from concerned families, wondering if this message signifies the end of the world or the advent of the rapture. We feel that U.S. policy in this matter wants to be extremely conservative - if there's any chance of danger or threat to our way of life perhaps the message and its contents should simply be disregarded.

  • News Reporters: Reverend Joss! Reverend Joss, what do you believe? What do you believe?

Palmer Joss: [pause] As a person of faith I'm bound by a different covenant than Doctor Arroway. But our goal is one and the same: the pursuit of Truth. I for one believe her.
