Hehe, I don’t know if anyone thinks that the film’s construction is based on Arthur Clarke’s [2001 A Space Odyssey]. It feels to me like a story derived from the book, but it doesn’t affect it at all. The magnificence of the original book was instead visualized, even better than Clark's own sequel.
It's just a movie that I've watched over and over again, and it's also a movie that influenced my outlook on life to some extent. In my movie viewing experience, only [The Redemption of Xiao Shenke] can be mentioned alongside it.
