Hannibal

After watching the film Hannibal, I felt a lot of emotion. He is not just a murderous demon, or a villain. Of course, he was ranked as the number one villain by a ranking list.

Hannibal was wise and talented, not only a leading expert in his own field, but also extraordinary in other fields. After he escaped, he hid in Florence incognito, and easily became the director of a museum. Apart from a little "special means", his superhuman knowledge was an important factor. He has read countless people, and his stomach is full of secrets of all kinds of people. With the addition of extensive books and books, he has an extremely deep understanding of human nature and extraordinary insight. No matter who he is, his words and deeds cannot escape. He had magical eyes. He is a highly accomplished psychiatrist, but he is himself a mental patient, a psychopath, "a psychopath who knows he is committing a crime but doesn't care, and is purely against society." As a psychiatrist, he is consulted by people with mental disorders, and it is in the conversations with patients that he learns about the privacy of people, and is very interested in matters, no matter how small or small. When he'd dug out a man's story and there was nothing left to bother to inquire about, he killed the man—often eaten in part, and sometimes made it into a delicacy, for dinner with unknowing friends Sharing... He is happy to cause pain to others, but when others groan in pain, he appreciates it with a sense of accomplishment. Whether it's killing people or instructing Will, Starling and others to arrest people, he is "playing games". In this film, starting from the Silence of the Lambs, we learned that Starling's feelings are different. He saw the shadow of his youth in Starling and wanted to help him grow up. He cherished her and sympathized with her. This emotional clue is even more apparent in Hannibal's film. After Starling was suspended after shooting five people, he wanted to come back on his own and tell Starling that the world was not as righteous as he thought it would be. In the end, when Starling put her and Hannibal handcuffed together, the police approached step by step, so that Hannibal had to chop off a man's hand with a kitchen knife. When the camera turned, it was found that Starling's hand was good, while sitting Hannibal's hand was injured on the plane, which showed that he finally attacked himself, showing that he really loved Starling.

In the last shot, a little boy on the plane came to ask Hannibal about the plane meal he prepared. He was especially interested in that person's brain, so would he be the next Hannibal? But he has Hannibal's help and I'm sure they won't be stopped by the presence of someone like Starling.

I think "Ritual" can also be included in the Hannibal series...Uncle Hannibal returned to Rome to stop eating people and practiced exorcism...

There are stylish scripts that are very standard in genre structure and elements, and there are also stunned live cooking human brains that are worthy of the title of Professor Hannibal. When a professor becomes the protagonist, it is naturally like the main focus. Elemental film noir, but the revenge and greed elements in the film slowed down the narrative tension, and the protagonists and supporting roles were evenly divided. The overall strength and rhythm of the film were not satisfactory. ★★★☆

Hannibal quotes

  • Special Agent Burke: [Over earpiece] Keep that gun down Bolton. Bolton!

Red Scarf Gang Banger: Damn dude got a piece!

Evelda Drumgo's Bodyguard: It's a pig, light his ass up!

Clarice Starling: [over earpiece] It's a go!

    [draws gun]

Clarice Starling: FBI! DOWN ON THE GROUND!

  • [Hannibal and Mason see each other for the first time in years]

Mason Verger: Hylochoerus Meinertzhageni. Ring any bells from high school biology, doctor? No? Well, I could list its most conspicuous features if that would help jog the memory.

    [wheels around the restrained Hannibal]

Mason Verger: Three pairs of incisors, one pair of elongated canines, three pairs of molars, four pairs of pre-molars, upper and lower, for a total of forty-four teeth.

    [stops to face Hannibal]

Mason Verger: The meal will begin with an hors d'oeuvre tartare: your feet. The main course - the rest of you - won't be served until seven hours later, but during that time, you'll be able to enjoy the effects of the consumed appetizer with a full-bodied saline drip. I guess you wish now you'd fed the rest of me to the dogs, hmm?

Hannibal Lecter: [perfectly calm] No, Mason... No, I much prefer you the way you are.

Mason Verger: [holding back anger] So... dinner at 8.
