Predestination (2014)

I just watched Looper last night, and I can't help but think of the Predestination I've seen before. The two movies are both about time travel. Each has its own bright spots. Let's put them together for comparison.

Predestination tells the life of a time agent. I originally planned to write down the details of the story, but I was afraid that people would think I was insane, so let's go and see for yourself. The protagonist of the movie has a very complex but very special setting. I didn't expect the story to develop like this. It is more suitable to use "one man game" to describe this story. It's a pity that the rhythm of the movie is too slow, and it feels like such a good script was wasted. I see that other movie reviews have high marks. I don't know if I am the only one who thinks so.

If you want to understand the life of the protagonist, you need to watch the entire movie. The plot is arranged in chaos and order, and the experiences of the protagonist in different periods appear interspersed, which consumes a lot of brain cells. Another highlight for me was the filming at the University of Melbourne, which felt so intimate, and at a glance it was an Australian film.

The first thought after watching Predestination is that the protagonist has a set tragic life, an infinite loop, just because he wants him to be a time agent? Just like a god joke.

To be honest, the points given are all for the movie script.

Always one step faster than the development of the plot, I was quite upset about what would happen next. The director brothers still don't believe in the brain power of the audience. The foreshadowing is too obvious and clear, which greatly reduces the brain-burning pleasure.

The most cheating cross drama in history, the most sturdy one-man show~ Oumaika! He f**ked herself! And she gave birth to himself...

Predestination quotes

  • Mr. Robertson: Just relax, Jane. Some of the ladies before you, got a little nervous, a little lost in thought.

Jane: [scoffs] Perhaps that's because to them a thought is unfamiliar territory.

  • Mr. Robertson: I see you've had some disciplinary problems in the past.

Jane: I've had nothing but straight As in all my classes since the first grade.

Mr. Robertson: Yes. Have you ever been with a man?

    Jane: Have you?
