Let me take a look at the plot again... son john traveled from the future of the new century to the past of the old century to save dad than care, the two of them walked all the way to the present of the old century. In 2029, care traveled from the present of the old century to the past of the old century In 1984, he rescued his wife Sara, but Sara was rescued by the T800 from the future of the old century. The couple traveled to the present of the new century. In 2017, they bombed Genesis, and met their son John, who traveled from the present of the old century to the next few months. From 2013 to 2013, New Century helped to create Genesis until 2017. Then the husband and wife fell in love with their son and killed each other. Finally, the son was killed by T800... Then they created New Century... Got it?

Kyle Reese: [narrating] Before they died, my parents told me stories about how the world once was; what it was like long before I was born; before the war with the machines. John Connor: [finding young Kyle in subterranean tunnels] Are there others down here?
Kyle Reese: And then one man found me. His name was John Connor, and he changed everything. John showed us how to fight back; how to rise up. He freed prisoners. He taught us how to slash the machines to scrap. People whisper about John and wonder how he can know the things he does. They use words like prophet. But John's more. We're here because tonight, he's going to lead us to crush Skynet for good.
