"Terminator 5": 60 points. I didn't expect this blockbuster to be so ugly!

I also counted at least 200 commercial blockbusters in the cinema. I really didn't expect that this "Terminator 5" was so jerky, so ugly, and so fractured, it was really bad. The score is passable, but the visual effects, the directing ability, the dialogue and the scene design are really not good enough.

The score is only 60 points, and it is not recommended to go to the cinema.

1. Script: Although there is a tribute to 1 and 2, it is actually a complete overhaul.

The storyline seems to be a test of IQ, but it actually mixes the first four parts together, completely overturning the original apocalyptic timeline and re-editing. This kind of overhaul is not good enough, it makes me feel very blunt, and it destroys the previous plot settings. In the comments of other netizens, it is called "the concept of the timeline is too sloppy and completely illogical."

Digression: I think the assumption that "the future can be changed at will", if you can't give me a good explanation in the film, I will not approve it, I will think that you are fooling the audience at will.

Second, the plot setting: is to feel "dull".

It’s okay if the script is blunt. After all, the plots of many blockbusters are mediocre, as long as there are a few scenes that look good. It's a pity that this movie didn't even meet the most basic requirements. Now that I recall, I can't recommend any bridges, but I think it was well done.

The bridge was blown into ruins, the vehicles rolled and exploded, the helicopter chased and exploded, and so many types of Terminator robots were dying. According to reason, "Terminator 5" should be very hot and compact, but after the whole film, my feeling turned out to be " The word "dull" shows how failed the director's scene scheduling is. The details are not listed one by one.

3. Actors: Schwarzenegger is the only bright spot.

1. No matter how old Schwarzenegger is, no matter how cumbersome his movements are, and no matter how outdated his shape is, he is also Schwarzenegger. Even if his face is expressionless, even if he stands still, the audience's eyes will be centered on him. This is the superstar, this is the aura. The audience just wants to see him being BE BACK!

For old Terminator fans, T800 can be humanized and very friendly.

2. Except for Schwarzenegger, the other male and female protagonists are not outstanding, no matter their appearance or performance, they cannot make people shine.

I know that the heroine Emilia Clarke is the dragon girl in "Game of Thrones", but in this film, she is really not good enough, not sexy enough, and does not show her skills independently, and does not play the role that a vase should play.

3. I thought Li Bingxian's robot was an important role, but I didn't expect that he was just playing soy sauce.

4. Others:

The Nike Vandal sneakers worn by Kyle Reese (scenario in the 1980s) were specially made by Nike for the film. At first, Nike was reluctant to make the old-fashioned version of the Vandal, and hoped to implant the new Air-Force sole, but according to Susan Matheson, who is in charge of clothing for the film, Terminator fans will not forgive this kind of cheating, and eventually Nike made a compromise.

The popular film review network

concluded: "I am old, but not out of date!" I hope that the "Terminator" series will change its director, spend more time on the script, and don't rely on Schwarzenegger to support the scene.

  • [first lines]

Kyle Reese: [narrating] Before they died, my parents told me stories about how the world once was; what it was like long before I was born; before the war with the machines. They remembered a green world, vast and beautiful, filled with laughter and hope for the future. It's a world I never knew. By the time I was born, all this was gone.

Kyle Reese: "Skynet," a computer program designed to automate missile defense. It was supposed to protect us, but that's not what happened. August 29th, 1997, Skynet woke up. It decided all of humanity was a threat to its existence.

    [scenes of mass destruction]

Kyle Reese: It used our own bombs against us. Three billion people died of nuclear fire.

Kyle Reese: Survivors called it Judgement Day. People lived like rats in shadows, hiding, starving, or worse, captured and put into camps for extermination. I was born after Judgement Day, into a broken world ruled by the machines. The worst were infiltration units that posed as humans. We called them Terminators.

John Connor: [finding young Kyle in subterranean tunnels] Are there others down here?

Kyle Reese: And then one man found me. His name was John Connor, and he changed everything. John showed us how to fight back; how to rise up. He freed prisoners. He taught us how to slash the machines to scrap. People whisper about John and wonder how he can know the things he does. They use words like prophet. But John's more. We're here because tonight, he's going to lead us to crush Skynet for good.
