Terminator Genesis may become the best blockbuster of the year

An exciting blockbuster that continues a three-decade series of classics.

Hearing the rousing soundtrack, the familiar and gracious Terminator is back.

Feelings, nostalgia, and old-school action alone are enough to score full marks.

When I was two years old, James Cameron's "Terminator" was released. This series occupies all the dreams and memories of the post-80s generation. Now that Arno Schwarzenegger is back, how can we not feel deeply? In addition to being cold-blooded, tough, and persevering, there is also a touch of warmth.

The series has a broad worldview and is set in the ultimate war between humans and Skynet.

Aside from feelings, the quality of the film "Terminator Genesis" is quite good. The role of John Connor, the human leader, is quite successfully portrayed. The war mobilization speech in the film is quite provocative and bloody, which makes us feel strong and intense. It's a pity that he ended up being the villain, which is what I regret.

The action design of the Terminators is better than the previous ones, and the action scenes are quite tough. I've always felt that old-school action movies are much stronger than the current high-profile movies, and that returning to old-school action is very likely to become mainstream.

T800, played by Arnold Warzenegger, steadfastly protects Sarah Connor, and his persistent belief is touching. Sarah Connor, a strong woman, made the audience understand why Skynet couldn't defeat the human race. Regarding the plot structure of this film, I think it is self-consistent and complete, and even James Cameron himself affirmed this film.

"Terminator Genesis" brings us back to the golden age of Hollywood action movies and is the best blockbuster of the year. (Weibo: Shen Mubai)

Terminator Genisys quotes

  • Garbage Man: [the garbage truck's engine stops] What the hell? Goddamn son of a bitch...

  • [first lines]

Kyle Reese: [narrating] Before they died, my parents told me stories about how the world once was; what it was like long before I was born; before the war with the machines. They remembered a green world, vast and beautiful, filled with laughter and hope for the future. It's a world I never knew. By the time I was born, all this was gone.

Kyle Reese: "Skynet," a computer program designed to automate missile defense. It was supposed to protect us, but that's not what happened. August 29th, 1997, Skynet woke up. It decided all of humanity was a threat to its existence.

    [scenes of mass destruction]

Kyle Reese: It used our own bombs against us. Three billion people died of nuclear fire.

Kyle Reese: Survivors called it Judgement Day. People lived like rats in shadows, hiding, starving, or worse, captured and put into camps for extermination. I was born after Judgement Day, into a broken world ruled by the machines. The worst were infiltration units that posed as humans. We called them Terminators.

John Connor: [finding young Kyle in subterranean tunnels] Are there others down here?

Kyle Reese: And then one man found me. His name was John Connor, and he changed everything. John showed us how to fight back; how to rise up. He freed prisoners. He taught us how to slash the machines to scrap. People whisper about John and wonder how he can know the things he does. They use words like prophet. But John's more. We're here because tonight, he's going to lead us to crush Skynet for good.
