I watched it with my roommate, an Italian girl. She said that one of her favorite films was Mulan. She watched the Italian version countless times when she was a child. This film was very popular in Italy back then. The film as a whole is very good, the story is complete and interesting, and it also reflects a lot of Chinese elements. The Italian girl said that she liked Mulan, a strong, brave and hard-working female character, rather than the beautiful and cute princess in many other animations who could only wait for the prince to save her. I guess that's why Disney chose Mulan from so many Chinese stories, Mulan conveys the point of female independence. Finally, I want to make a small comment. The film has made Mulan a myth, and can defeat the Huns and save the emperor by himself, which makes the film a little bit of Mulan's personal heroism.
