small sense

Revisited the final installment of the Blood and Ice Cream trilogy, At World's End, yesterday. At that time, I was drinking a little wine, and I didn't think much, but the stamina appeared: Why are most people slowly homogenizing or even "living like they hate it". In fact, the reason is too simple, it is the old saying "Everyone is like that, why do you have to be different". Exams to go to school, work, marriage, childbirth...and then the cycle goes on and on. In this process, no matter how many personalities will face the same problems, they can only actively or passively use seemingly the same methods to solve them. This process subtly changes our thinking, thus smoothing out our personality... It is undeniable that there are still many people who live out the wonderful life that others admire, but returning to daily life is not just three meals and one bed. After all, there are still very few people who can be free and easy, because the price of being free and easy is really too great, and the pain is beyond words. The primitive instinct of seeking advantages and avoiding disadvantages gradually climbed the mountain of everyone's mind: Forget it, everyone is like that... Fortunately, I am currently resisting the issue of love and marriage, and I would rather lack than abuse. Otherwise, it will become the same robot in the movie.

The advantages are the same as those in the previous two parts, the editing is superb, the characters are bright, and the smiles are dense. The front is good, but I always feel that this ending is too discouraging.

The ending of the blood and ice cream trilogy, I have to say it is a terrible tail. The theme metaphor of refusing to grow up and confront the adult world is too superficial and not fun. Only the first five people are full of pride and want to drink. The scenes of the twelve bars are unforgettable.

The World's End quotes

  • Gary King: I remember sitting up there, blood on my knuckles, beer down my shirt, sick on my shoes and seeing the orange glow of a new dawn break and knowing in my heart life would never feel this good again. And you know what? It never did.

  • Gary King: How's um...?

    Peter Page: Vanessa?

    Gary King: No, your wife.

    Peter Page: Vanessa.

    Gary King: Yeah, how's she?
