(Meredith said It's a good day in counseling. She asked Dereck to leave with Rose. She did that, bravely.)

Psychologist: It's not a good day. Your patient died in loneliness, while his true love is literally in the next room, because he's unable to tell his true feeling(they are gay and dare not tell the public).
Meredith: He did this for him. He's not alone. I think it's heroic.
Psychologist: That's crab. He's tragically alone. And he's you.
Meredith : What do you mean? I'm not dying alone.
Psychologist: But I think you're. And you kept telling yourself that's very brave. But in reality you're all alone.
Meredith: That's crab.
Psychologist: Dereck's with Rose .
Meredith: I know.
Psychologist: He's with Rose.
Meredith: I, I can't... Why do you keep saying that?
Psychologist: Because if you can't see the problem of this sentence, we're not able to go anywhere.
Meredith: He's with Rose. Okay, but what's wrong with that?
Psychologist: If he's with Rose, this means he's not with you. And do you know why he's not with you?
Meredith: Are you calling me a coward?
Psychologist: What do you think?

Grey's Anatomy quotes

  • Dr. Meredith Grey: No-one likes to lose control, but as a surgeon there's nothing worse. It's a sign of weakness, of not being up to the task. And still there are times when it just gets away from you. When the world stops spinning and you realize that your shiny little scalpel isn't gonna save you. No matter how hard you fight it, you fall. And it's scary as hell. Except there's an upside to freefalling. It's the chance you give your friends to catch you.

  • Dr. Meredith Grey: The key to surviving a surgical internship is denial. We deny that we're tired, we deny that we're scared, we deny how badly we want to succeed. And most importantly, we deny that we're in denial. We only see what we want to see and believe what we want to believe, and it works. We lie to ourselves so much that after a while the lies start to seem like the truth. We deny so much that we can't recognize the truth right in front of our faces.
