She is my person.

There is probably no more hapless surgical intern than Meradith. My mother died of Alzheimer's disease, and she was almost a stranger to her father. The object of her one-night stand was her boss. What's worse, when she fell in love with this guy, his wife appeared.

It was on the verge of death several times. One was nearly killed by a bomb, one was near-death by drowning. In the hospital, a place with no secrets, it is commonplace to be pointed out. Also called a one-night stand slut by some goddamn guy. OH GOD! Writers, can you make her more unfortunate?

So, as Yang they say, Meradith is almost the representative of tragic fate. This kind of "glory" is enough to make her a goddamn psychologically twisted and dark guy, and go on the road of no return.

But Meradith is still so kind, she still believes in love, so when she has to choose between Drerk and Finn, she still chooses D, even though He will hurt her.

She also believes in friendship, even a woman like Yang would call her "My Person".

The Greys' story is actually a Friends story. Together they experience love, friendship, death, hurt and betrayal. They grow up together, even though the surgeon may be a child all his life. Like Richard. Lost love, lost marriage, and is about to retire, but in fact his life was not successful.

Sometimes, those patients often know the meaning of life better than they do. Like Denny. Like Bonnie. They understand true responsibility and how to face life and death. They are the real people.

However, I still believe that the hapless Meradith will be happy. Even if there really is no one more unlucky than her.

Grey's Anatomy quotes

  • Dr. Meredith Grey: No-one likes to lose control, but as a surgeon there's nothing worse. It's a sign of weakness, of not being up to the task. And still there are times when it just gets away from you. When the world stops spinning and you realize that your shiny little scalpel isn't gonna save you. No matter how hard you fight it, you fall. And it's scary as hell. Except there's an upside to freefalling. It's the chance you give your friends to catch you.

  • Dr. Meredith Grey: The key to surviving a surgical internship is denial. We deny that we're tired, we deny that we're scared, we deny how badly we want to succeed. And most importantly, we deny that we're in denial. We only see what we want to see and believe what we want to believe, and it works. We lie to ourselves so much that after a while the lies start to seem like the truth. We deny so much that we can't recognize the truth right in front of our faces.
