Another hit by Pixar's chicken soup for the soul

Recently, I went to the cinema to watch two movies, one is "Soul" by Disney Pixar, and the other is "A Little Red Flower for You" by the four-character brother. Coincidentally, both of them happened to be about life.

I liked both films very much. When watching "A Little Red Flower for You", my tears were dedicated to the parents of the two young protagonists. Although the main line revolves around two young people suffering from cancer, the illness is often not just a matter of one person, but a matter of a family. Therefore, at this point, the movie has made the emotional line more comprehensive, involving family affection, friendship, and empathy for the same sickness, which makes it more real, sincere, and not hypocritical.

However, the description of special groups to describe thinking about life can create tears in itself from the storyline, and it is also the most common sublimation routine of film art for thinking about human life. Therefore, compared with "Send You a Little Red Flower", I think "Mood Adventure" is more clever and novel in its conception and selection of life, and it can also make every ordinary person feel the same.

This cartoon made me fall in love again (aside from the ruined translation, what the hell is "Spiritual Journey"?) The original name was soul - soul. Pixar's creativity really had to be impressed. The film revolves around "What the hell is life for". This is also a question I have been thinking about recently. Friends say that I am a person who loves tossing, and sometimes I envy those who are contented and happy. What kind of pursuit made me become a person who constantly wants to toss myself?

The hero in the movie, Joey, spent his whole life waiting for the dream of an overnight success as a pianist, and let his life be a bland, uninteresting, scornful of everything he has now. As a result, when he finally waited for the opportunity that might make him reach the pinnacle of his life, he killed himself because of his overexcitement. So, he who became a soul came to "the Great Before". There, souls are trained to acquire their personalities and interests before heading to Earth. Determined to return to life on Earth, Joey meets a precocious soul "Twenty-Two". Twenty-two has never been able to find his interest in human life. He is definitely not willing to die now, desperately trying to return to the earth and return to the world. So by accident, "Twenty-Two" returned to Earth with him...

The magic lies in the reflection on "aliveness" produced by their "identity change" on Earth this time. There is no great joy and great sorrow, crying and making a lot of noise, but the idea of "being alive" itself. When we feel that we have to struggle, have goals, have dreams, and can't be mediocre or stand still, the movie tells us not to forget the sunshine, leaves, Food, communication and smiles... These ordinary existences that we ignore have become the meaning of "twenty-two" when they come to the world, but they have become the most disdainful neglect of our human beings.

Unpredictable and hit by the chicken soup for the soul instilled by Pixar, such a simple truth can be told sincerely and convincingly through a story, whether it is a successful person or a mediocre person can have empathy. Successful people will think, am I too busy to enjoy the meaning of life, should I slow down? And the mediocre people watching the movie will inspire: even if I don't have any achievements, as long as I am diligent and happy to do the things at the moment, I will be worthy of my life.

As long as it is a human being, they can more or less reflect on their existence value through such a simple story. As for more or less, it's really a matter of opinion...

Soul quotes

  • Joe: You ready?

    22: Huh?

    Joe: To come live.

22: ...I'm scared, Joe. I'm not good enough. And anyway, I... I never got my spark.

Joe: Yes, you did. Your spark isn't your purpose. That last box fills in when you're ready to come live. And the thing is, you're pretty great at jazzing.

  • 22: [in Joe's body] Like my mentor George Orwell used to say, State sponsored education is like the rattling of a stick inside a swill bucket.
