Sad seal, the triumph of unconventional American heroism

I have seen Peter Berg's terrorist attack on Boston, and the quality is also excellent. It is also adapted from real themes. The terrorist attack on Boston has a little more American values. Personal heroism + punishing evil and promoting good.

However, I read Lonely Survivor about four times, because it was so tragic and suffocated since the shepherd appeared. Mikey unloaded his bullets and rushed to the top of the mountain to ask the base for support. Axe thought hope was coming, only to see the rescue plane crash.

Although they are all tragic battle scenes, they are very emotional. When Mikey turned his head and rushed to the top of the mountain after saying "Never out of the fight", the emotional tension was too strong, and it was not something that ordinary personal heroism could render.

The climax begins very dramatically: the shepherd accidentally discovers the seal, and if he kills it, he will be condemned and sanctioned by a military court, and if he is released, he may suffer annihilation.

The ending was unexpected: Marcus was rescued by kind and friendly Afghan villagers. Accidentally praised the friendship between the U.S. military and the Afghan people. If it were not adapted from the real theme, this plot must have been criticized.

Although only Marcus is left alive, in my opinion, this is already a victory.

Finally Marcus' monologue:

"Brave man have fought and died building the proud tradition and fear of reputation that i am bound to uphold. I died up on that mountain. There's no question a part of me will forever be up on that mountain dead...As my brothers died. But there's a part of me that lived because of my brothers. Because of them, i am still alive. And i can never forget that no matter how much it hurts, how dark it gets, or how far you fall, you are never out of the fight"
