So I decided to choose to watch a movie, and I watched this simple and interesting movie on a casual Friday night. It's not as boring as the comments said. It's still a good introductory movie for someone who is just getting started with Greek mythology, and the scenes are also in line with the grand individualism in Greek culture.

After the movie, I googled it, and I probably understood the intricate relationship between these gods. It turns out that the relationship between the gods in Greek mythology is not only various incest (personally I think it is mainly due to the lustful leadership of Zeus), and there are still many versions of this intricate relationship! But it's interesting to take a step back and compare Greek mythology with ours. The gods of Greek mythology are not omnipotent, each god has weaknesses, just like people. No matter how beautiful Athena is, there is still jealousy, and Zeus is too horny. . . But this is also when you see the gods, you will have the feeling of being there, because they are actually very similar to us, but one lives in the sky and the other is in the world. In Chinese mythology, on the contrary, those gods who created the heavens and the earth are all high above, all kinds of perfection and greatness. This is exactly the same reason for comparing the cultural differences between Greece and China in another documentary I saw today. China has always attached great importance to agriculture, and the right time, place and people have always depended on the lives of many peasants. Therefore, Chinese people have been very respectful to the sky since ancient times, and natural myths and stories are inseparable from the great gods who shaped them. On the other hand, Greece is different. Since ancient times, the land has been relatively barren. It can only rely on the olive tree trade to do business. It emphasizes business and contracts, and believes in the power of individuals. This is why there are so many realistic giant sculptures in Greece. It was the epitome of individualism, believing that you can create everything by yourself. Believe this is also the reason why the Greek gods were as imperfect as humans, because in their seriousness man is god and god is man.
I still like Persus' personality, dare to compete with God, and still retain the most precious humanity.
