I think this movie is a love story. This is the director's third film, and all his styles are fully established and defined. It's just that the beginning part is a little confusing. People who have crossed over 20 years have to compare who they were before. This may be the director's intention, I think it is a bit deliberately style for style's sake.
I appreciate the confusing (inexplicable) behavior of characters, probably not all people have complete logic in real life. But controlling the weight of this behavior is a tricky thing to grasp.
What moved people in the end was the love between the unrelated siblings... I like this part.
